There once was a story about four men wrongfully convicted of murder. In the process of clearing their names, they found love.
If you want to be blissfully unaware and enjoy your happy ending the way it is, we understand. However, there are three sides to every story … His. Hers. And what actually happened.
Do you think you’ve gotten the ugly, gritty truth figured out? We promise that you don’t even know half of what actually happened.See you on stage. Even if I have to drag you there.
Oh wow, what a pleasant surprise notification “Once Upon a Murder” series is available on kindle as of March 25’ 🎉🎉🎉‼️Honestly, I had to read book five (5) twice to get reacquainted with the storyline and the characters 🤷🏾♀️🤭…(fyi: sixty ain’t the new thirty 🙂↔️. The brain fog is real & unapologetically agressive 🥴🤭🤦🏾♀️‼️) Nevertheless, I initially started reading this series diligently around the fall of 24’. Nonetheless, “The Secrets We Create - Khalil: Once Upon a Murder - Book 5” was worth the five month hiatus. Meanwhile, Khalil this should be a “things that make you say hmmm” 🤔 moment. Between Willow’s random acknowledgment: “I heard you”👀#1; the audacious inquiry of him & his family’s occupation: “are your family drug dealers” or “I always felt there were more to the mysterious Khalil Kane but never in a million years did I think you were in the game.” 👀 #2 & now suttle innuendos to establish Khalil’s affiliation: “You know it’s been three years, and the news said they still haven’t found Monique Rivers’ body?”👀 #3. Hmmm, I don’t believe in coincidences not even in fictional literature 😬🫣& definitely not with this series‼️Willow, your heir & spare don’t guarantee you’re in the clear🤷🏾♀️‼️Three, two, one …BOOM💥‼️
Well, now!! So we start off with Khalil’s truth about Monique! This was surprising and not what I expected! I can only imagine what the other three stories will bring!
This was sweet, short and a very straight shooter! I really enjoyed this and am looking forward to Knox’s story next! I definitely recommend this book and the series! Kudos, Angela! 💜
It finally looks like things are moving along! I’m beginning to get a better understanding of how things happened with toxic Monique’s disappearance. I know I have to wait until I read the final book in the series. Even then, I have a feeling that things are not going to go the way that I’m thinking they will! On to the next one!! ❤️🔥
Great conclusion to The Secrets We Inflate. I liked learning what happened between Khalil and Monique from his perspective. The story was short but summed things up well. It was wonderful to see Elaine, Khalil's Mom, was doing well after going to rehab and I was happy that Khalil and Willow are very happy and share two little cuties.
Khalid's calculated approach to executing the intricate scheme unveiled a chilling precision, reflecting a methodical mindset driven by the primal instinct to protect oneself and those held dear. The complexity of his actions spoke to a deeper narrative of survival, where moral ambiguity blurred the lines between necessity and choice. ReneeG
This was a good conclusion to the previous book. I liked getting a glimpse into what actually happened with Monique and seeing that Khalil and Willow are still thriving and loving on each other.
Good read, I enjoyed the characters and story. This is Khalil’s side of the Monique story, it clears up loose ends. It’s Khalil and Willows happy ending. A great short story.
Monique was evil and obsessed . Khalil wanted revenge and freedom. Cap and his friends found a way to eliminate their thorn. Wendy helped Cap to find peace and joy. Khalil only needed a new beginning even his family had their own struggles. Great read.
The plot thickens in this series. Khalil wears many hats and has secrets that he will take to his grave. When he loves, he loves hard. He will stop at nothing to ensure his other world does collide with his and Willow's relationship.
Questions were answered in the second set of books. It was good to see all the guys interact with the women in their lives. It’s better to read the second set of books inorder.
