About the author

Donald White grew up on the coast of North Carolina with his mother and father, an older and a younger sister. He has a degree in Information Systems, having graduated with honors. He is also an avid reader of classical and modern literature. After ten years in the IT business, he decided to focus on writing. His work can be seen in the June 2012 issue of Down in the Dirt Magazine; the winter 2013 issue of Cemetery Moon Magazine; and the Grave Robbers and Memento Mori anthologies edited by James Ward Kirk. Well written piece of fantasy art, February 9, 2013

I don't read fantasy usually but this story was fun and easy to read. Some excellent descriptive passages and great characterization for a short work made this an enjoyable and imaginative reading experience. The battle sequences are vibrant and believable and invoked comparisons with some other great fantasy stories I have read by Tolkien and George R Martin. I have also read and enjoyed Donald White's 'Lady Killer' which is equally well-written although in the genre of Horror. Great work, I look forward to the next story White has to offer.
