Well written, interesting and informed book on the Irish Defence Forces, with particular emphasis on the Ordnance Corps whose expertise in bomb disposal is well recognised globally. Sadly but honestly it ends on a now common theme - the ongoing issue of drastic underfunding of the Force and the devastating effect on its ability to carry out its job effectively and with the pride it rightly deserves. If we value it it’s worth fighting for, otherwise don’t give out when it’s gone.
