I am the author of crime fiction novels. I've always loved mysteries and crime.
When I was seven, I read my first Nancy Drew story and was hooked forever.
My first crime series, (written as Jackie Elliott) was inspired by the small fishing communities on Vancouver Island and features the fictional town of Coffin Cove. I moved to Canada in 2004, and married a fisherman. I was captivated by the stories of the coast - some stranger than fiction - and most of my stories, are inspired in some way by the place I call home.
Hell’s Half Acre, the second in the Coffin Cove series was shortlisted for a Crime Writer’s of Canada Award of Excellence in 2022, in the The Whodunit Award for Best Traditional Mystery. The series is published by Joffe Books.
I also love to write warm cozy mystery stories, the kind you can read with a large mug of tea and a slice of cake on a rainy afternoon.
The Wharf Rat Mystery series is exactly that - warm, humorous, engaging, with the right amount of twisty mystery to keep you hooked.
When I am not writing or reading, I'm waging war with the weeds in my garden, out on the boat with my husband, or volunteering for the local Maritime Society.
