A delightful and heartfelt read.
As a grandparent to a 4yr old with a similar relationship this story pulled at my heart strings in the best way. This book was intended to bring comfort to Olivia but I felt comforted as the "Gigi" in this story knowing she (my grandaughter) will be okay then fine with all the memories we create together and yes..i shed a tear or too...this story is not just for little ones.

Heartwarming and thoughtful, beautifully real

Wonderful.
What a touching and needed book. It is a young child's experience with losing her grandmother. I pray it will reach many families with small children and the loss of a friend or family member.
And the illustrations are terrific. It has bright colors and characters that children will love.

sweet book for sensitive topic
Nicely done book. Death and grief is a tough one for kids and this does a nice and simple job on it. Allowing the child to cry, enjoy memories and look to the sky knowing Grandma is always there is very sweet.

Lovely story of a child needing to work through grief
I found the story simple (targeted for a child), built up around the love for Nonni, her nana, and then working through the loss of Nonni. I found it didn’t try too hard to solve grief but to present it gently as a natural state of missing and celebrating someone loved. Very appropriate, I felt. It does have spiritual overtones, but not particularly strongly, referring to heaven.

Olivia and Nonni, together forever!
What an incredibly inspiring story! I’ve been a hospice volunteer for several years and can tell you how important it is for families to have loving stories and memories to share with children, friends and family members. Thank you Nonni!
