“One night a few months back, on a whim and probably one too many glasses of wine, I sent in an application to ad I saw on social media: “Six months in Ireland, helping run a bookstore, room and board.” Yes! I’d love this opportunity! Jayne is a bookworm like me so I instantly liked her.
My adult daughter Norah randomly saw this author at a shop in Redlands CA and she said the author was so nice and funny and she thought I’d like this book because I have a soft spot for cozy romances.
This book is a sweet! I loved the ending. Highly recommend!

I typically go for stuff a little more gritty, but this book was such a nice break from my normal reading habits. Between Jayne, our protagonist, and all the other colorful characters met in this small Irish town, this book felt like spending time with new friends.
The writing was great, Arentz’s description of Cong was very descriptive, it was easy to picture falling in love there. I almost feel like I was vacationing there myself!
Overall it was a sweet, low stakes romance and a lovely way to spend a few days! I will be passing this story along to all the other book lovers in my life!

Such a charming romance!

I appreciated that the book was written in the first-person, helping to put myself in protagonist Jayne's shoes. The fact that Jayne is such a likeable character makes it easy to relate to her. I was impressed off the bat that a woman who considered herself to be unassuming would take such a brave step, so I was hooked from the start, and ready to join her in her adventures in Ireland.

I enjoyed the description of Cong in particular, and found it easy to imagine the sights, sounds and smells of the village. Also, who knew falconry could be sexy? I found myself rooting for Jayne and her handsome Irishman and wondering how their dilemma could possibly work out. Jules Arentz

A well-written, enjoyable read. Highly recommended.

COZY! Romantic!!! All the things you’re promised.
The visuals. . . . I felt like I could see the cobblestone paths of the tiny town and the rain soaked scenery.
