An interesting, if rather academic and dry, book looking at the evolution of Greece political thought from the Ottoman Conquest to Greek Independence in the 19th C. Very pro-Greek but while occasionally anti-Ottoman, not really anti-Turk in any way. If you want to understand the evolution of nationalist, internationalist and the Greek "Great Idea" thought and philosophy, this is the book for you, if you are more interested in a traditional history of how modern Greece came to be, look elsewhere.
