Definitely a reaffirming read for teachers who believe mutual respect and empathy are at the heart of quality education; however, this text offers few practical methodologies and instead relies on emotion to drive instruction. It's a motivational text rather than a guide on classroom practices but I would still recommend it, especially for teachers who aren't connecting with their students the way they'd like.

Not a great book but a good reminder on how you can get the most out of kids with a positive approach.
