This is the 2nd JT Ryan thriller I have read, and once again it didn’t disappoint. JT is up against a deadly adversary in Nicole, a true Femme Fatale who is no stranger to killing in order to accomplish her missions. And, as the bodies pile up, it is up to JT to thwart her, even if it means putting his life on the line. The story reads like a machine gun, a rat-a-tat-tat of fast paced action all around the world. It’s also an easy read, doesn’t bog you down with details, which makes the read flow in a totally enjoyable way. Highly recommended. A five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star thriller that gives the reader just what they want!
As usual, The Art of the Kill does not disappoint. Full of intrigue and lots of incredible art in amazing places. J. T. And Rachel are the best characters ever. Art history was a great touch. Lots of action!

Nicole Habsburg and her father are Masters of the art world in Lee Gimenez’s ‘The Art of the Kill’. He is a master forger, and his daughter a master thief who will stop at nothing, including murder, to achieve their goals. Together they devise and execute thefts of well-known, priceless paintings from highly protected museums throughout the World. Things were looking up for the Habsburgs until a consortium of museums, who had experienced robberies by the duo, come together and hire Colonel Robert McKenzie’s RMK Security company to investigate and recover the stolen artwork. In turn, McKenzie recruits Lee Gimenez’s protagonist, ex-special forces operator turned private investigator, J.T. Ryan, to head up the case, with Ryan’s on-again, off-again girlfriend and CIA agent Rachel West providing technical backup. The scene is set for a fast-paced international race between Nicole and her father accepting and realizing new missions from illegal art collectors to target specific paintings, and Ryan, as he steadily uncovers the perpetrators, inching closer to their detention.
The tale is told from two major viewpoints: that of Nicole, where we, the readers, are immersed in the different schemes she uses to steal the paintings and deliver them to their clients, and Ryan, as his investigative skills bring him nearer to uncovering the Habsburgs. There is never a dull moment in this edge-of-seat thriller, thanks to author Gimenez’s wonderful talent at both devising an intricate plot (as well as the many, varied ways to steal the artwork) and some superb characters to carry the tale. Although this is one of a long series of the always-entertaining J.T. Ryan thrillers, it can easily be enjoyed as a standalone novel.
If you read about spectacular art heists in the news in future months, maybe, just maybe, author Lee Gimenez might have inspired the perps. An outstanding thriller that most definitely will keep you up reading into the early hours. Highly recommended!
The Art of the Kill by Lee Gimenez is a well-crafted suspense/thriller that takes the author's dynamic duo off the beaten path and across two continents in search of a highly skilled and deadly team of art thieves. Ex-commando J.T. Ryan is working for his former military commander Colonel Robert McKenzie at RMK Security. The firm has been contracted by a European conglomerate whose museums have been robbed of priceless works of art. Ryan recommends his heartthrob, CIA agent Rachel West, as a temp contractor. Together they set off to Eurasia in search of the perpetrators.
They find themselves in pursuit of Nicole Habsburg and Rafael “Rafa” Vargas. Nicole is a skilled assassin, the daughter of crime boss Felix Habsburg. Rafa is a career criminal skilled in explosives. Their gang has embarked on a series of heists that their gumshoe counterparts eventually piece together. The angle of love and loyalty is a key factor as both JT and Felix rely heavily on their loved ones but cannot remove them from harm's way due to their over-reliance. Alternately, both women prove their competence time and again, the female of the species often more deadly than the male.
It's a game of cat and mouse that the author expertly narrates, and as with his other works, it's one readers never tire of. For suspense/thriller readers and detective novel fans alike, The Art of the Kill by Lee Gimenez is is one you won't want to miss.
Mayhem at the Museum In this JT Ryan thriller, Ryan is hired to find out who is stealing the most famous masterpieces in the world from prestigious museums. The method of theft is different in each case, complicating matters. The thieves are also very professional. Still, the thieves make some mistakes that compromise their efforts. JT Ryan finds his recent heartbreak, Rachel West, has appeared out of the ether and will be invaluable helping him. He must be vigilant because he has recognized that Rachel has developed a problem with alcohol. She knows she is in trouble--he still needs her help. Who could be doing these crimes? Come to find out they are from a royal family of Europe, but they have drifted away into lives of crime, lifting such works as: Rembrandt as Paul, The Mona Lisa, Starry Night, The Naked Maja, The Clothed Maja, and even a Picasso. Can the team of Ryan and West put a stop to these horrendous deeds and calm the nerves of the Art World? Can Rachel get a handle on her addiction? This is an entertaining book, especially for a person like me who is involved in fine art. At the front of the book is a list of thrillers by the author, Lee Gimenez. Many of them feature JT Ryan. They can be read independently, without needing other books for background information.

The Art of the Kill by Lee Gimenez is a fantastic addition to the John Ryan series
This is an amazing story of a successful P.I. tracking the ultimate art thief. We already know that Ryan was a former decorated Army veteran who served as a commander with the Green Beret. But now J.T. Ryan has been asked by Col. Robert McKenzie, President of RMK Security, to track down the group that have been stealing some of the most priceless paintings from around the world. So how could Ryan say no?
The stolen paintings and the history of the thefts make the thieves one of the most sought-after group in the world. And this fact makes J.T. their worst nightmare and they don't know it yet!
You will be enthralled to watch J.T. and his investigation as it crosses across some of the most famous art museums in Asia and Europe. It's a story that is difficult to put down once you get started! You're going to love this book!
