Simple enough, but has too many mistakes

This is one of the better phrase books that I have seen for German. The book is particularly useful for those who have had significant exposure to the language in the past but need a quick refresher at the moment.
The book is actually fairly short as phrase books go, but in this case I would say this a positive feature, since it focuses on the most useful phrases, grammatical features and cultural topics without overwhelming the reader with detail. The book is also well organized and at least my version has easily accessible fold out flaps that contain phrases and vocabulary that are encountered frequently.
The potential user of this book should know that it seems to be out of print and there are currently multiple versions under essentially the same listing floating around on the internet. I did actually wind up with a version from the late 90's which turned out to be perfectly useable, but I would recommend getting a latter version if possible,
Finally, the serious student of German, should be aware that Kauderwelsch, the publisher, of this book also produces a number of highly useable guidebooks on German dialects and cultural topics which are primarily written in German.
