Well, my darlings.
What can I say about this delightful book that will do it justice?
Tea with the dutchess is a delectable dip into a world of elegance and gentle sophistication. This is more than a book about etiquette, it’s about finding pleasure and beauty in everyday life.
Whatever one’s budget, we can choose to make an effort to do even the most mundane chores with love and flair. It is a book about taking care of oneself and spreading that care to others in every aspect of life.
I read this book hearing a voice similar to the narrator in Bridgerton, like sitting down with tea (in a delicate cup and saucer) and having a chat about all the things that are good in the world with a dear friend.
Tea with the dutchess covers everything from creating and decorating your home to ensuring you thank people and return favours.
My particular favourite chapters were the final two: “The Art of Art Appreciation” and “The Little Things.” Both subjects are very much after my own heart, and the reminder that art is for everyone and to slow down and truly experience life every day calms the nerves in this fast-paced world.
The illustrations are so pretty and deliciously add to the vibe. It’s a book of sheer escapism, where everything is right with the world. And we sure do need that right now. If you enjoy romanticising life, afternoon tea and femininity, then this book is a must-read.

Yes please, I want to have some tea with the Dutchess!
This book that I found looking for books in the etiquette genre is more than an etiquette book. I loved the concept, how to do anything with style. The author conveys the messages of manners and etiquette in a refreshing way, and this extends to the chapters about creating a home. Not a stone has left unturned in making a home, as the book transports you to a world that doesn’t just look beautiful, it makes you feel uplifted and intrigued. The author manages to awaken your every sense. The scent, the music selection for creating the right ambience, it has all been considered in this beautifully illustrated book. It differs to other etiquette books as it doesn’t feel old or stuffy, the character in the book makes it a fun read. It is as if we are being taught these life lessons with a sense of humour and I look forward to reading more books by this author as the world needs more books in this genre.

Wow! I have not come across a book like this before. I was gifted this book and loved the looks of it. Once I started digging into it, there was so much to discover. I did not even know that I wanted to live a life like the character in the book, the Dutchess does. I am smitten and cannot wait to re-do my home or polish my manners. The book is an easy read but it has a lot to offer and it makes you feel really good and uplifted. Tea with the Dutchess is an etiquette book but also a book about old world manners and style. My mother grabbed the book and is now reading it as-well. Just wow.

‘Tea with the Dutchess’ is a trailblazer in that there is not another read like it. Through the use of personal anecdotes, insights and research, Gawi invites the reader to develop their relationship with elegance and poise in a contemporary manner without forgetting its traditional roots. Importantly, Gawi makes it clear that elegance is not just behavioural, but that cultivating the right mindset is a crucial aspect of poise.

This is an absolute must read, filled with light and warmth. I felt like I was having a chat over a cup of tea and receiving wholesome and graceful advice. It is such a beautiful book with so many incredible tips and insights about how to improve your life. I also really loved the beautiful drawings which compliment the teachings. It’s definitely a book I’ll be gifting to my close friends.

Simply divine! Beautifully written, Kate’s book reads as though you are sitting across from her, collecting little hints and suggestions about the forgotten etiquette of this fast paced world. A how to in a modern world. I can only imagine it would have been done with a cup of tea in hand. Loved it!

Absolutely beautiful book. Love the layout. Everything you need to know about hostimg parties, using the riight cutlery etc. The perfect present to bring to the hostess of the dinmer party you are attenfing, your best friend or why not your teenager.

Beneath the cover awaits a world of whimsical wisdom. The author takes you to a world where style, etiquette, manners matter. Filled with beautiful conversations from how to create a home, to make a first and lasting impression, how to carry yourself with grace, and everything in between. My favorite part of the book is the chapter about intention, how to purposefully set your intentions for the day. I feel like I am in a world where Mary Poppins married Violet Bridgerton, offering her wholesome but glamorous advice over a cup of tea. It is a book that made me want to order a tiara, pull my lace gloves on and enter the world with new, full blown confidence and throw a tea party! The short stories are more like having a chat with the Dutchess and being privileged to entering her world. And yes, the Dutchess is spelled with a t, as tea with the Dutchess is what I want to have more of, and I hope that the author will write more series of this book, as if it is something I would have hoped for is for it to have been a bit longer.
