Isolation

Rate this book
This collection of stories speaks to the many facets of isolation, of being alone and what it does to us. The horrors that can spring out of that darkness we are warned to not venture into is as infinite as the darkness itself.

Horrible editing issues throughout. I can overlook misspelled or missing words occasionally (or those missed by spellcheck, e.g.: "form" instead of "from"), but this was a non-stop distraction of double quotes where there should have been single apostrophes (don"t), double commas, zero spacing between sentences and not even so much as a line break between stories. Unfortunately, I really can't spend much time discussing the stories, because none of the ones I read seemed finished...as in, the second one ended with the words "the man" and that was it...not even an ellipsis before the author bio. It's really sad, because I have no doubt that most, if not all of these authors worked hard and were excited about the prospect of being published in an anthology, but the lack of any reasonable editing has probably doomed them to obscurity.
