The author's ultimate source of hope is her faith in Jesus Christ. She believes that God allowed her to have cancer for a reason and that reason is to point people to Him. "If God isn't glorified, it's just a disease."

I don’t know if I have the words to describe this book! A friend from church told me to read it! The author is a Desoto County local, so of course I was intrigued! I Choose to Laugh-Faith in the Midst of Cancer by Cara Blakey Smith is a MUST READ for all! We all know someone who has had cancer! This book gives you insight to all aspects of what fighting cancer looks like! She gives you tips on dealing with the results, chemotherapy, life with cancer, life after cancer, and how to help people going through cancer, and in each chapter her faith in God shines through!! Her tips and encouragement are stellar for someone fighting cancer and for family members too! The overall theme is finding the joy of life in the midst of pain! Read it; share it; you won’t be disappointed!!
