This is an informational, factual book about trapdoor spiders. It provides real pictures and key facts to benefit student research and understanding.

I liked this book because it covers many different facts about these spiders to compare with other spider types.

Students did a research graphic organizer by reading digital texts and applying their information to an informational writing. Students used transitions and descriptive words to describe what they learned from this research.

I chose to read this book because I had never heard of a trapdoor spider. Even through spiders creep me out I thought it would be an interesting book, and it certainly was. I would use this book in my classroom when discussing different spiders.
