Stalking A-Z

Stalked by the Vet

Rate this book
Since I got back from overseas, I’ve lived in a haze of routine. My life’s a dull shade of gray, predictable, controlled.

Then she walks in.

Kelly.

Vibrant. Full of life. She’s got this glow, like she’s made of sunshine and energy, and I’m... just a shadow in comparison. She’s a decade younger than me, too young, too good for someone like me—a broken, worn-down vet with demons that never stop haunting.

But damn it, she captivates me. The way she smiles, the way she laughs, the way she lights up everything around her.

I know I should stay away. I know I shouldn’t let myself get tangled up in her. But I can’t help it. I can’t stop myself from watching her, following her every move.

And when I finally lose control?

I’ll risk everything to make her mine.

Obsessive. Possessive. Completely unhinged. These men don’t just love—they consume. Once they set their sights on the women who make their hearts pound, nothing will stand in their way. Not rules. Not morality. Not even the threat of losing it all. Because they’re willing to risk everything for the women they love. From A to Z, they’ll show you what it means to claim what’s theirs. Forget sweet and soft. Theirs is a love that burns with obsession.

If you love stalker romances featuring over-the-top, obsessive, possessive alpha males who will do anything to protect what’s theirs, then Stalking A–Z is for you! Fast-paced and full of steam, HEA guaranteed!

This book took me on an rollercoaster I didn’t expect, but loved all the more!
This pair and book replaced easily all my favorites from Emma till now and I loved many of them.

The past trauma from Greg’s war time was realistic and heartbreaking. What he has/had to go through is unimaginable, but what they create from that is so amazing and hopeful.

The way their story evolved was perfect and beautiful. I loved that their wasn’t an instant - He meets her and boom all is perfect - because that would have been too cliché.

This book will move you to tears, break your heart and mend it right back.

It’s written in dual First POV, which is perfect, because you get to live and feel both sides and understand them better.
Emma writes and describes so vividly that you literally witness it all in your mind’s eye.
I love her detailed and metaphorical descriptions!

If you’re searching for a sweet, realistic and heartbreakingly beautiful story - go grab a copy!

Greg is our MMC. He’s ex military with PTSD.
Kelly is a beautiful innocent brunette, full of warmth and laughter. She’s also our MFC.
They could be great together if Greg will be able to fight his demons and reach for her.
Short read, sweet and sexy. And oh so satisfying.👍🏻🥰.

Short 49 page novella. Greg is a veteran with PTSD who is a bit standoffish and Kelly is a ray of sunshine that draws Greg's attention when she enters a coffee shop. Kelly accidently spills Greg's coffee on his shirt and she tries to help clean it up and offers to buy him another cup. They have a brief conversation and Greg starts to track her social media which leads him to stalk her.

They get together pretty quickly and Kelly helps Greg with his PTSD. He falls first and hard but he starts to think Kelly is better off without him and pushes her away. Will they be able to work things out?

Overall this was a cute, well written story, and Kelly was never afraid of Greg or his "mild stalking.".

A passionate and lyrical short read which evokes vivid and beautiful scenes and the deep feelings of the characters. The characters are complex and the author explores their histories, personalities and perspectives sensitively. I was left with a sense of contentment about the journey of the characters at the end.

This book gives you a glimpse into what a soldier’s life, experiencing PTSD, would be like and gives you a sincere appreciation of the sacrifices military members and veterans make every day. That part, I appreciated, the rest, not so much. (To me) it was disjointed and skipped forward in amounts of time that we had no measure of and left out large chunks of information that was referenced later (like the project they had evidently been working on all the time they were broken up).

This book is great to remind us that our military men and women should be honored for their service and the sacrifices they’ve made for our country’s safety—it would have made a huge impact if it had been able to be released around Memorial Day or Veteran’s Day—and for that purpose, I recommend it wholeheartedly. For the romance…3.5 stars.

Stalked by the Vet is part of the Stalking A–Z series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, stalker-lite, opposites-attract, grumpy-sunshine romance. Kelly is a young, artistic, graphic designer and virgin who is a free-spirited ray of sunshine. Greg is an older, hunky, grumpy, ex-military man who suffers from PTSD. The two meet at a coffee shop when Kelly spills coffee on him. He had already seen her and was drawn to her. When he leaves, he online stalks her and learns her routine. They continue to cross paths, and things get hot and S-T-E-A-M-Y. But Greg is worried he is too old, damaged, and dangerous for her. Can she show him love is worth fighting for? Can he conquer his fears? This couple had sweet chemistry, and we ended on a happy note after a bit of angst. This was a fast-paced, short, and spicy read.

Military veteran Greg (H), haunted by his past and struggling with PTSD, finds an unexpected connection with Kelly (h), a vibrant graphic designer, when she accidentally douses him with coffee in a café. Despite his initial reluctance, Greg finds himself captivated by Kelly and finds himself stalking her online, and then 'running' into her. As their relationship deepens, he battles his inner demons and worries that his trauma might lead him to hurt Kelly, even as she offers him support and love to him the strength to face his fears. Greg ultimately has to make some changes in his life if he hopes to have a relationship with Kelly. Hot and steamy age gap, stalker -lite, veteran romance with plenty of angst and drama, exploring overcoming personal demons, embracing vulnerability, and finding strength in each other.

Greg is the vet in question , he’s a military vet with PTSD who meets vibrant , full of life Kelly in a coffee house. He’s closed off because of his demons but Kelly who is all warmth and laughter is what this miserable older vet needs . It’s a beautiful story and how the relationship between them evolves is amazing to read . Not instant love , but pure falling and her slowly breaking down his walls until his only defence is an offensive manoeuvre across her friendly lines… Devine! Perfect storytelling Emma Bray! I loved every nook of your great book . The writing is sublime and really well constructed . The characters are super amazing and very endearing. I was all in very quickly as it’s that engaging. Bravo!.

This book is a part of the Stalking A-Z series and focuses on Greg and Kelly. Greg is struggling to fit in within the civilian world now that he is out of the military and struggling with his PTSD. He sticks to himself until he meets Kelly. Kelly is everything he isn’t but he is completely captivated by her and falls hard and fast for her. He doesn’t feel like he deserves Kelly because of his PTSD but thankfully Kelly is the rock that he didn’t even know he needed. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

Stalked by the Vet: A Military Romance is a stand-alone in the Stalking A-Z series. This story has the potential to be truly fantastic, but needs tweaking. The story is really a thing of beauty, but is confusing because of its lack of description of the passage of time. It reads like it takes place over a couple of days but tiny little bits let us see that assumption is wrong. Still even if I had known that going in I would still read it as it is a great story.

What a wonderful story this was. We follow Greg and Kelly. Greg suffers from PTSD due to his time in the military and struggles with his demons. When one day he meets Kelly in a coffee shop, he is immediately taken by her, he wants to know everything about her and starts stalking her online and in real life. Kelly is his opposite. We see his struggle with his demons and PTSD. Will they have a chance and can Kelly help Greg with his demons and PTSD? Highly recommended to read.

3.5-4*
An emotional look into PTSD. Greg has been holding himself together by putting up walls. Until a young woman walks into his world “like a high-definition scene cutting through static”. He tries to stay away but Kelly is determined to break down his walls. Quick storyline with fear, doubts, beauty, acceptance, raw deep turmoil, resistance, hope, healing, forgiveness and love.

This is a short fast paced story that can be read in 60 minutes.

Considering the length of the book you would be forgiven for thinking the limited word count would hinder the emotional depth that could be portrayed. However this story overflows with emotion and a rawness that enables you to empathise with Greg's struggles.

Greg is ex military, a loner suffering from ptsd, everything in his life is dark except for Kelly a young innocent artist that brings sunshine into his life but because of his demons all he can do is watch from afar. When fate brings them together it is full of love but short lived. Will Greg get the help he needs to give himself a chance of happiness with Kelly? Can Kelly be the light to his darkness? Can love conquer all?A short, heartfelt story with sensitive issues that I enjoyed.

Greg is out of the military and suffering from PTSD. When Kelly dumps coffee on him, he’s infatuated, and after he comes to a realization, pushes her away. Will he get help so they can be together?
I expected something different from the title. Not really stalking, just an internet search. And I felt this story was missing something.

This book reminded me again of the issues many of our military personnel face when returning from active duty. Greg is struggling with PTSD when he meets Kelly. She is like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. They have an instant attraction, but with Greg's problems, they have some things to work through. There is drama, but they work through it to get to their HEA. Great book!

Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. Note that MMC suffers from PTSD, so sensitive readers to read with caution. This was more of a novella so expect the story to be fast moving with a fair bit of time compressed and fast forwarded. However it still packed an emotional punch with a sweet and steamy HEA.

This is about Greg a Veteran with PTSD and Kelly a girl he falls for.

Steamy, sweet and dramatic. Kelly and Greg have a nice connection. Built over time and kind of sweet.

Well written, could have been longer but still a great story.

This is another engaging 'stalker' romance for the series but this time our guy, Greg, is a Veteran with PTSD. Kelly is full of sunshine and he gets sucked into her orbit ;) Of course, it's not simple for him to make the leap to change things enough to know he'll keep her safe and they can have their HEA. Expect a romance with plenty of emotions, angst, drama and steam :D

Greg is a veteran that has to battle with PTSD and that makes him unapproachable and grumpy. Kelly is the total opposite of him, young, vibrant, a klutz and a sunshine attitude. These two fall head over heels for each other, but his past and his scars (external/internal) make it hard for them to get their HEA. Short, age gap, sweet, sad, bittersweet, romantic, steamy, and safe with a sweet HEA 😍😍
