Tamara and Dex thought they had their happily ever after once they helped the ghosts haunting Tamara's barn cross over and closed the portal. But strange things keep happening on the farm, and Dex has been acting strange, even outright violent at times. Tamara knows something must be done, so she prays for help. It arrives in the form of Cal, the cowboy ghost Tamara fell in love with and then said good-bye to. Will Dex ever be himself again? Will Tamara once again have to choose between Dex and Cal?
GAURDIAN'S TOUCH by L.A. Dragoni is a tangle of emotions. I was so happy when Cal turned back up because I just loved him from the first book. L.A. Dragoni once again manages to put a unique twist on a love triangle and bring new depth to each of the three characters involved in the process. Add in a collection of creepy ghosts who are trying to make their way out of the void and a surprise twist or two for a winner of a story!

When Guardian’s Touch opens, Tamara and Dex seem to have recovered from the ghostly experience without any lingering effects. But then Dex starts behaving oddly, and soon Tamara realizes his time in the void did something to him. But what?
When things reach their lowest point, help comes from the last place Tamara expects. Cal. But Cal insists he isn’t there for her, but Dex.
Caught between the two men she loves, Tamara struggles to keep the man she can have while steeling her heart against losing the other again. But the void has ideas that may threaten any chance of finding a happy-ever-after.

This is the second offering in the Touched by Afterlife series and I really do hope it is not the last. LA Dragoni is a highly talented author who manages to spin a tale that draws the reader in and makes you want to keep turning the page to see what comes next. This book manages to have a small number of characters overall but feel like you are in a huge world throughout and for me the story was well worked and continued to have me guessing throughout.

Have you ever met a ghost? What? You say there is no such thing. Well, perhaps you’re right. But maybe, just maybe, you’ll change your mind after reading LA Dragoni’s latest novel GUARDIAN’S TOUCH (Touched by Afterlife Book 2). I’ve been waiting for a long time to see what happened to Tamara and Dex, our heroes from GHOST TOUCH (Touched by Afterlife Book 1.) They’re finally back, and the author does not disappoint us.
Tamara and Dex are in love. Their lives are running smoothly, at least they were until the cows start acting weird, and the dog Ruff is not his normal self. And that’s just the beginning of strange happenings to the young couple. Not only does Dex switch from the sweet caring guy who loves Tamara to a rude, sometimes violent man, one she hardly recognizes, he has no memory of his behavior. Tamara wonders if it’s her imagination, or if she’s having stress from her experience with the ghosts she helped cross over a few months earlier. Or is she seeing ghosts that do not exist? She knows one thing: she must find out what’s happening to Dex and stop it, before she loses him completely.
LA Dragoni is a master at creating characters that seem like real, living beings, which made me care about Tamara and Dex and want good things to happen for the young couple who had been through difficult times. The plot is good and solid, with a surprise or two along the way.
As much as I enjoyed GHOST TOUCH, the first book in the series, GUARDIAN’S TOUCH is even better. So, whether you believe in ghosts or not, you might enjoy meeting the characters in the author’s latest story. I think it will keep you guessing as to what happens next. Happy Reading.
