This book is about choices, and specifically about making the choice to choose love. To choose love over hate, fear, and unforgiveness. It is about learning about teachable moments, and taking baby steps that will allow us to finally chose love and love not only others, but ourselves as well. It is comprised of 16 different stories from men and women from all walks of life who have traveled this path, and have learned and are continuing to choose love whatever life may throw at them.

The contributions come from a wide range of authors from a Reiki Master to a recovering addict to a born-again Christian to the widow of a cancer victim, they all had one simple message, and that is love is more important. As Tammy Lagoski, a practicing Christian, points out in her somewhat controversial message in the book love is more important than whether you or not you are a member of a certain congregation. When someone is in need, it is the Christian’s duty and responsibility to put love into action and provide help to those in need. As, Dawn Amberly, a caregiver to the seriously ill and dying, and a widow of a cancer victim, the bottom line is that love is the best care you can provide to anyone it may not be able to heal their bodies, but it can certainly comfort and heal their souls. As Jennifer Hamende, a Certified Reiki Master, points out love forgiveness and fear are walls that block our ability to give and receive love. And, Jim Mills, a man who struggled with addictions and lost it all including family and property, a currently a farmer and farmland advisor on sustainable management, states that each day brings the opportunity to choose love and to choose to be happy.

I highly recommend this book for its practical, step by step guidance including teachable moments, encouraging quotes, pauses for reflection and relevant Bible verses to anyone seeking to become a more loving, caring and compassionate person. Our world will benefit from more people like this, and so will you
