Eliza and The Egg

Rate this book
Eliza Harrison was a 14 year old teenage girl who spent her days living the life of any teenager. Sometimes she was teased at school, she was insecure about her appearance, just your regular life really. She never expected anything unusual to happen to her or for her life to change. Then after a day she'd sooner forget, when she was walking home from school she found something, something that would change everything for her. It was an egg but not your usual looking egg. This one was pulsating and changed colours as she watched it and after dismissing what she was seeing as her eyes playing tricks on her, Eliza went to walk away until she heard a noise. When she reluctantly walked back to the egg, a crack was forming, zig zagging its way along the egg and curiosity won out. Eliza wanted to see what was going to emerge from the strange looking egg. What hatched left her speechless and questioning whether she was dreaming or not but one thing was guaranteed, what came out of that egg was going to change her life but would it be for the better or not Just what was it that had emerged

From my teenage years, all I wanted to do was become a writer one day. Even now as an adult woman with three children who are not so little anymore, I've always lived with my head in the clouds, a dreamer, often amusing myself with my own imagination. It might have taken me awhile to finally live my dream, but I did it. I hope to one day be good enough to stand beside the many talented writers out there who have kept me entertained with their wonderful stories over the years. I live in a sleepy country town in Tasmania, Australia with my three children, my little dog who thinks he’s a Dobermann. I've had to overcome many emotional obstacles along the way to get to this point and attempting to self-publish a book does tend to make a person feel like they've thrown themselves in at the deep end of the pool. Here's hoping some of you actually like what I write and save me from drowning in the deep end as I probably forgot to mention, I can't swim. J. A Melville.

I received this book from the author, as a present for my son. We began reading it, 1 chapter a night, and my 5 year old was SO excited each night to get that chapter. We finished it tonight. There were several times he'd giggle, or stop to ask a question. He's renamed his OWN dragon Puff and Stuff. This was a unique, and very enjoyable night time routine for BOTH of us. We LOVED the book. It was easy to read, easy to follow, and neither of us wanted to stop at each chapter. We wanted to keep going! Loved it! Thank you <3
