Lessons in Forever

Rate this book
Widowed at a young age, Rachel Halson has spent the last 20 years as the ultimate mother, volunteer and picture-perfect good girl—and she’s had enough. Now she wants to experience all things sexual. The only problem is that Rachel’s not sure she has it in her; fortunately, that changes the instant she meets Detective Mitch Lang.
Mitch is gruff, demanding and definitely not the type to break in a mild-mannered homemaker from Wyoming. However, after one taste of her, Mitch finds he wants nothing more than to teach the lovely Miss Halson all the naughty things he can do to her in his bed.
Luckily, Mitch and Rachel both want the same thing—sex. No strings, no emotions, just hot, wild sex . . . and lots of it.
But when casual begins to feel like commitment and a dirty cop threatens their relationship, Mitch and Rachel must decide if what they have is actually worth fighting for.
This book contains a mature sexy, alpha male hero who knows how to make a curvy woman scream in bed, on a table, against a wall, on the floor and anywhere else he pleases. Its spicy sex scenes may be too hot for some to handle, and there’s no lack of four-letter words. Luckily one of them is 'love'.

I think, while reading this book, it is important to remember it is marketed I think, as an erotic contemporary romance, and not a contemporary romance. It makes a difference - well to me anyway. Certain things, if in a book that was meant to be a plain Contemporary romance, I could not accept - mark it is an erotic contemporary, I have a tendency to be a bit more relaxed about certain issues and be able to read it within the confines of the label the book has been given.

Anyway, to get down to it.

Widow Rachel Halson decides to move closer to her best friend and brother in law - and to live a little on the wild side.

Unfortunately, her first adventure into the wild side, sees her at the wrong type of party and almost arrested.

Enter Detective Mitch Lang.

After a misunderstanding where he thinks she is a prostitute (and this is where I had to remind myself in particular, it is marketed as "erotic" because the whole frisking scene and their first sexual encounter skirted a line, and had me raising an eyebrow thinking "hmmm") Mitch convinces Rachel that he is the perfect man to be able to give her no stings attached sex lessons!

However, Mitch gets caught in a trap of his own making, and ends up wanting more then no strings attached sex - but is unsure of how to make it happen. Rachel meanwhile is attempting to protect her heart and not fall in love.

I really liked them together, Mitch was so overprotective and they just sizzled together on the page.

Add in a dirty cop, some dirty talk, hot sex and some misunderstandings, you have a fun, sexy read.

A few issues, as I say, some of Mitch's behaviour, especially in the beginning skirted a fine line, and certainly was abusing his position of power! But he made up for it, by falling hard and fast and being a jealous alpha ass (which I like in a book man!! )

Rachel, I really liked her in the beginning, I thought she was funny (on her blind date imagining stabbing her date with a chopstick) and brave, willing to move and start over her life and try new things - but toward the end, for me she fell a bit flat, and turned a bit too weepy and doormat like! She should have made Mitch grovel a lot more for not believing in her. (even though Mitch made a good job of apologising himself anyway, she still should have made him work more for it imo)

Also, there were a few editing issue I noticed in the beginning, the wrong word or a missed word, but certainly by about 30% in I was enjoying it and drawn into the story, so if there were any more I did not notice them

An enjoyable 3.5 (rounded up to 4 ) stars.

Book provided by author in exchange for an honest review.

This is a quick, entertaining read that features Rachel, a woman who admits that she's overweight but isn't all hung up on her image and is comfortable with herself (thank heavens for that!) and Mitch, the detective she meets after the party she's attending was raided. Sparks fly between the two, but due to misconceptions on Mitch's part he believes that Rachel is nothing more than a prostitute and gives her the choice of going to jail or.....you'll have to read the book to find out :)

This was my second time reading a story by Julie Raust and just as before Choosing Chase, Ms. Raust has written easy to believe characters. It's very easy to form a mental picture of Rachel, and while I didn't care for Mitch in the beginning of the story, but once he came back after that first incident, my opinion of him greatly improved. Yeah he's abrasive and might act like a jerk, but he's also fiercely protective of Rachel, so we know he's not a egotistical jackass all the time. And the sex scenes were plenty damn hot as well. My only wish for this story was that it was longer, so we could get learn more about Mitch's background. But an overall enjoyable story.

Rachel Halson has spent most of her adult life as a single parent, having been widowed at a young age. She’s tired of being the “good” mother, and wants to experience what life has to offer - especially all things sexual. She’s decided to move to Texas to be closer to her brother-in-law and ends up in Detective Mitch Lang’s sights. If Rachel wants lessons in sex, Mitch is more than willing to give them - but happens when the teacher learns more than he ever barained for?

The Good
The first few chapters set up the story well - Rachel’s inner dialogue was funny and self-deprecating, and I could understand why Rachel wanted to get away from everything she knew and do something daring, something crazy and fun. It’s an erotic contemporary romance, so it was very heavy on the sex, which were executed well. The secondary relationships - I liked Rachel’s relationship with her brother-in-law as well as Mitch’s with his partner. While a bit implausible, I liked the idea of the hunt for the dirty cop.

The Bits I’d Change
The pacing was a bit off for me - in my opinion erotic doesn’t mean that it should only focus on the sex, but that the sex is an integral part of the development of the main relationship. I would have liked to see more conversation between Mitch and Rachel, especially at the beginning of their relationship there’s an allusion to conversations they had in between sex bouts, but it’s told to me not shown. A bit more of that in the beginning would have gone a long way towards making their connection clear to the reader and would have made me more accepting of Rachel’s declarations of completely trusting him and Mitch’s thoughts of how much he liked Rachel.

Mitch was a bit harder to get a handle on, and I wasn’t as big a fan of how he could easily turn on Rachel, though his history explained it to a certain extent. His very first contact with Rachel at her house rode a very fine line, which was just shy of a turn-off. He makes up for it eventually and I did like the ending.

The Bottom Line (3.5 stars)
There’s real potential here - I liked it and I would read more from this author.

10 Amazing & Scorching Hearts for Heat

First of all this is erotic romance. Meaning more sex than story but what I found was a brilliant and emotionally fulfilling romance layered right between the heat.

The meeting and first encounters should be taken in the context of erotica not reality. Once you get past that you'll enjoy one sizzling read.

Mitch was a no nonsense kind of guy. His take charge attitude had me at hello.

He wanted what he wanted and he wasn't apologetic about it. What he wanted was Rachel from moment one.

First impressions can be misleading sometimes but in this instance let's just say that Rachel took it in stride and on her knees.

Sizzling hot scenes started right at the beginning and throughout this hot little read. Mitch was a dominant lover and a dirty talker.

But what I loved the most because I am a romantic sap is when Mitch and Rachel had their "get to know me" moments. It was sweet and emotional watching these two fall in love. I have to confess the ending brought tears to my eyes and a smile in my heart.

If you want a hot and romantic read this one will fill the bill.

The book was fast paced in my opinion. There wasn't enough time for the characters to grow on me. I liked them. But, something was missing.

Mitch was the near to perfect alpha male. Totally delicious

Well, officer Mitch is one sexy Alpha male. The perfect blend of sweet and demanding, gentle and controlling. Holy hell, I love sexy cop romances.

He was all like, I'm going to have to frisk you now ma'am.

And Rachel was like, well.... okay, if you insist.

Well, that lead to some mind blowing sex... and I was loving every minute of it.

Mitch turned out to be pretty sweet/protective/domineering and *swoon* you guessed it, those are all my favorite qualities in a book boyfriend. Rachel was a mature female heroine, and I don't mean in age even though that applies as well. It was refreshing not to read a heroine with the constant naive chatter going on. She handled situations like a boss, and a super classy lady, so she gets an A+ in my book. All in all, a quick steamy read with some great characters. Would definitely recommend.

This is a lovely standalone romance novel. If I had any complaint with it at all it's that it's too dang short. I didn't want it to end.
It features Rachel Halson, a 39 year old widow and single mother of an adult son, who leaves her home town in Wyoming in order to start a new life in Austin TX. It has been a long time since Rachel has had sex with anyone and she is interested in spreading her wings and letting go for once in her life.
She soon meets Detective Mitch Lang, a man who has recently been burned by another woman. He is not interested in a serious relationship, but he does want to show Rachel what he can do to her body. Mitch is a tough alpha male with a soft heart. He is used to taking charge, both on the job and in the bedroom. But he has convinced himself that he could never trust another woman.
I just loved these two. Rachel and Mitch make for one hot couple. Soon they both begin to realize their relationship is becoming something much more than simply a physical one. It seems they cannot get enough of each other. In spite of themselves they slowly start to fall in love, and it's a beautiful thing to watch.
However, danger lurks around the corner in the form of a crooked cop. Will this break them up or will it make them stronger? You'll have to read the book to find out.
This is the first book I've read by Rachel, but I promise you I will be looking for her other books.

4.5 Stars....

Let me start by saying , loved our female heroine in this book Rachel is a real life sized women, yeah she has curves and openly admits she is probably 45 lbs overweight , besides having curves she has reached a point in her life that is her time , 39 widowed and a single mom with a som in college.
Rachel wants to do what sh did not when she was younger , be able to date casually and. Have casual sex.

Enter Detective Mitch Lang , he is a strong Alpha male and makes it very abundantly clear that he will happily educate her in the ways of casual sex! No strings , no attachments just lots of hot steamy incredible sex! Which works for Rachel, but she is a little concerned because she is afraid that when their time together comes to an end she may have a hard time forgetting him.

Rachel's fear of not being able to forget Mitch comes to fruition when a dirty cop includes her in his plans to get back at Mitch, these two are going to have todecide if thy want more than just casual unattached sex, because it has become more than evident that it has moved past that for both of them , dodome conversations may be in order.

You do get a lovely HEA and I do not mind saying again some incredibly written steamy sex scenes!

I was so lucky to be gifted this book by the author for an honest review. This was one hell of a hot, sexy, laugh out loud, passionate read. Julie has a way of writing that sucks you in and you cannot put the book down, this book was addictive. It follows Rachel who is stuck in a rut and decides to up and move to be by her brother in law. He talks her in to finding herself and letting go of her inhibitions. So she decides to attend her new neighbours party to see if she can hook up there. At the party she is unfortunate enough to be wrongly arrested by a hot Detective. With a mistaken identity Rachel is propositioned with an offer she cannot refuse and will change her life for the good, will the hot detective be able to give her some lessons in forever. If you love hot, arrogant alpha males who are confident and as sexy as sin then read this book.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I really liked it!

I love all the dirty talk! The whole bugging the house scene had me DYING!!!! I love that the are not the typical 20 something's or the horribly troubled couple with billions and nothing. I felt like they were your everyday normal people!

The story like was great and I have to say the I LOVED Steven just as much as Mitch and Rachel if not more.

I would recommend this book and really enjoyed the book!!!!

MY REVIEW

This is a short, stand-alone book, which is one of my fav kind of book. I'm hooked since the prologue.

The heroine, Rachel was a widow. Her husband died when she was only 20. And now her 18 years old son was going to college. She wants to experience a hot, wild sex life. So she moved to the Austin in order to have a 'new life'.

She met the hero, a hot detective, Mitch in a party. But sadly their encounter wasn't really in a nice way because actually Mitch almost arrest her because she was in a party which held by a drug seller. Mitch thought she was one of them.

Rachel was a mature yet innocent single mom. Mitch has laid his eyes on her since the very first time he saw her in a red dress in that party.

And since Rachel wants to learn a hot, wild, casual sex, Mitch happily willing to be her 'sex lessons' teacher.
They both swore that it's just a sex. No strings. No feelings.

"I can give you what you want-no feelings, no relationships, just sex"

description

I liked the hot sex scenes. But actually I didn't like the very first sex scene-um.. well, blow job, between them.

Mitch found lots of condoms and lubes in Rachel's purse. He thought she's a prostitute and he was going to arrest him because of that.
But instead he was taking advantage of her. He gave her an offer, give him a blow job or she'd be arrest.
Ew... it was just....
description

I liked the story, but too bad it's written it third person POV. I'm not a big fan of third person POV books えー

Other than that, I enjoyed the book.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Overall, I enjoyed Lessons in Forever. I found both Rachel and Mitch to be likable characters and I was very interested to see how things would pan out between them. There were steamy love scenes and sweet moments with the two of them connecting outside of the bedroom. I liked that there weren't any long, drawn out descriptions or details and that the story flowed fairly well. The writing itself, however, proved problematic at times. There were many instances of skipped words (a, to, the, etc.), too many words ("Nope, it's still it's not connected", he'd had lost interest in sex, "I hope you didn't plan on getting much sleep much tonight", etc.), and the wrong or misspelled words (fiend instead of friend, half-hazard instead of haphazard, gaged instead of gagged, you're instead of your, etc). Also, there was confusion over some of the characters' names. Seth was referred to by Mitch and his partner as Seth Simpson but then he was called Seth Paulson on two occasions. A paragraph later he was back to being Seth Simpson. And then there were times when Rachel carried on a conversation with Stephen but she called him Mitch. Those things may seem nitpicky but they were present from beginning to end and, therefore, hard to ignore. The mistakes did become a distraction when I had to keep rereading to understand what was meant. I think a thorough proofing would take care of all those issues.

I was very underwhelmed when Seth's reasoning for why he'd become a dirty cop was revealed. It just didn't seem plausible or terribly interesting, to be honest. Also, (and this is just a personal pet peeve) I couldn't help but roll my eyes when Mitch, mere minutes after getting out of the ICU from being shot, was able and wanting to make passionate love to Rachel! He was described as being in excruciating pain and yet he had the ability to perform. Yeah right.

Lessons in Forever worked as a love story/erotica but not really as a cop drama. I would've rather learned more about Mitch and Rachel than read about bungled stakeouts, lunatic bad cops, and poorly run investigations. However, after all that griping, I did like Lessons in Forever and I'm glad I was given the opportunity to read it.

*****I've been made aware that a revised version of Lessons in Forever is now available and other readers won't necessarily have the experience I had. Best of luck to Julie Raust.

Received and ARC copy for an honest review.
This was a great read. It was hot too!

Rachel she was going on pointless blind dates that bored her to death. So much so she wanted to stab one with chopsticks LOL!

Her brother in law talked her into moving down south to Texas. She had no ties where she was now. Her son was off to collage, she was a widow. So she packed up and moved.

I have to say Stephan her brother in law is hilarious. The things he talked about you thought he was a girlfriend. The trouble he got Rachael into was something else. See Rachel was invited to a house party by some young neighbors. Stephen he was telling Rachel to have a one night stand no strings attached sex. Rachel was like yeah yeah yeah ok whatever. She attends the party only for it to be busted by the police.

In walks Mitch a hot ass police detective. He acts like he is going to book her but takes her home instead. OMG what happens in her foyer/hallway is freaking unbelievable. The next day Rachel thought she was dreaming when Mitch shows back up apologizing. Remember how I said Stephan told Rachael to have no strings attached sex? Yeah well that isn't the only thing he did. Mum is the word on that part.

Mitch and Rachel they have what Stephan called sex lessons LOL! All those blind dates Rachel went on she didn't take any of those guys home. She wanted a guy to rock her world. Mitch was that said guy. OMG the sex was hot. I want a Mitch to bust me holy cow!

Mitch and Rachel they go on with sex lessons for weeks. Then here comes the action that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Rachel you wouldn't have thought was so brazen, and a hero. She loves Mitch and Mitch loves her but they haven't told each other. Their attraction for one another pulls them together, they can't go without touching or talking, just a simple lick of the jaw to the ear. OMG I swear I needed to fan myself. Mitch he knew how to work a woman, how to talk sweat dirty nothings while him and Rachel were at it.

What does Stephan do to get Rachel into trouble with Mitch? How does Rachel step up and become a hero? How hot is their sex? You have to read Lessons in Forever. It was truly great.

Ladies! Get out the bon bons and the wine, and oh! a napkin! Because Mitch Lang is going to melt your panties off! Yes! He! Will!

Rachel Halson is a single mother who is in need of change. She's bored with the men she's meeting and wants a change of scenery, not-to-mention, a one night stand! But it's not happening, not yet, and not with the men she's met so far.

So, after a conversation with her brother-in-law and best friend Stephen, she's makes her decision and moves all the way to Austin, Texas.

She's just arrived and she's been invited to the neighbors for a party. Little does Rachel know that this party will change her situation forever.

When things go wrong, Rachel finds herself in a pair of handcuffs and being questioned by the very intimidating Mitchell Lang. Who proves to have more in mind then just arresting the lovely Rachel Halson. And just like that Rachel has her first "casual" encounter.

However, this encounter opens a new door, a door that both Officer Lang and Rachel will need to go through in order to catch a dirty cop.

***

This book is HOT! From beginning to end. It left me squirming and my pulse racing. It's not drawn out, it's quick, but in a oh-so-good way! Lessons in Forever is a bravo for me.

Rachel is 39 which doesn't make her a spring chicken and I LOVE THAT! Why should all the twenty somethings get all the HUNKS? And the fact that Mitch loves a WOMAN! is refreshing.

I have read previous works from Julie and this is by far a favorite. She writes about women that I can relate to and makes them wonderfully dynamic and REAL.

I highly recommend this read. Lessons in Forever, by Julie Raust is a OMG! rating for me - 5 Stars!!

4.5 STARS

Very rarely can you describe a book as both insanely HOT and hilarious but in this case it was! I laughed out loud and teared up a time or two.

This book had it all:

Fantastic Heroine - Rachel Halson, a real woman, with real life issues. What woman at 39 doesn't relate to being (a) a little overweight (b) everything to everyone and never taking time for themselves or to find themselves (c) both funny and sexy...yes we can be both!!

Grade A Alpha Male - Detective Mitch Lang, gorgeous, domineering, possessive yet wounded and afraid to fall love. He's the type of Alpha that hooks you from the start.

Quirky Characters - The meddling neighbors, gay brother-in-law, and Lang's police partner.

A Twist - I will avoid any real spoilers and just say dirty cops.

There were parts of this book that were suspenseful, sexual very almost voyeuristic, witty and emotional... this book truly has everything you want in a great story! It's not your cookie cutter Alpha story, but it still represents the Alpha Male so well. It's not a full blown suspense yet it has a story line that keeps you sucked in the whole time. Lastly, it's not a typical "romance" novel yet it's got a wonderful love story full of angst and then hope.

The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is I wish it were a longer book and not a novella. I would have loved to have read more of Rachel and Mitch's connection.

Rachael moved from her home after her son left for college. She went to a party that she did not belong out by any means what so ever, but wanted to meet people. He brother in law Stephen put 2 tubes of lube and over 2 dozen condoms in her purse. She was frisked and cuffed by Mitch and taken home. All was fine until he say she left her purse and got pissed as he thought she was a hooker. He went back inside and it got wild. Rachael wanted lessons in sex and this is what Mitch gave her. After Mitch offered to take her back down town or her to give him a blow job, she decided to give him the blow job. He left without basically even a second glance. The next day, she was prolonging answering her BIN calls so when the doorbell rang, she knew it was him, so she answered it yelling at Stephen in her small silky robe, only to see Mitch. He took her in and apologized for his mistake and gave back to her what she gave to him. He didn't give her any recovery because his counter part was coming to discuss her neighbor. Mitch told her to gather herself together. Mitch was more than happy to give Rachael any lessons in sex, meaning that same day. Neither had met anyone like the other and it took them both by surprise. But there were a lot of elements that took too many pains in the relationship on the way. I loved this book

Lessons in Forever is the first book I've read by Julie Raust and it will not be my last. I have to admit in the beginning I was not a fan of this book at all. Thank goodness, I gave it a fighting chance. I really enjoyed it by the time I finished it.

Mitch was not a very likable guy in the beginning. I'm not sure if this was by design or not, but I felt like he really took advantage of his position of a cop and I wasn't okay with that at all. I didn't like how he treated Rachel and even though he was sorry later I found myself wanting to tell him "I don't care if you thought she was a hooker you don't abuse your power and back her into a corner in exchange for sexual favors". Honestly, I didn't think Ms. Raust could recover from that. She did. Kudos!

Rachel Halson has always put her son first. After her husband died she put forth all energy on being a mom. Now, he's away in college and she's ready to focus on finding some pleasure for herself. And she jumps in with both feet. Sure she stumbles quite a bit, but I found her strength and adventurous spirit admirable.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone that is looking for some heat and a great little story to evoke all kinds of emotion.

Lessons in Forever is a quick, HOT and entertaining novella. Julie Raust knows how to kickstart a story and keep the interest going for chapters and chapters!

Rachel and Mitch meet when both of them are ready to just let go and have a casual relationship based on sex, not love. Lessons in Forever starts off with a great case of mistaken identity and takes off at a great pace! Julie Raust does an excellent job of getting the story going and getting you into the minds of the characters. The characters in this story are real people, with quirks, flaws and issues and you immediately connect with, especially Rachel. Mitchell, while a sexy, foul mouthed cop takes some time to fall in love with, once he opens up you really start rooting for these two!

This is my second time reading Julie's work and I must say she is becoming a go to author for a quick, hot read and emotional read about REAL women. Lessons in Forever, is a novella that gives you a complete story but at the same time will leave you wanting more from these characters. I can't wait to see what Julie Raust writes next! Julie Raust is a great author to go to when you need a quick read that will get your pulse racing, make you laugh out loud and make you want to go out and find a dirty-talking cop of your own!

Rachel is finally free to live the life of a mature, single woman since her son has gone off to college far, far away. As a result of this, she decides to move closer to her family/best friend, her dead husband's brother in Austin. She also decides to try and change her luck in the sex/dating department by looking for not the usual kind of guy she dates. And she finds him! Holy hells did she ever find him in the most inauspicious and hot hot hot way!

Detective Mitch Lang - also known as "Officer McLuscious" which made me laugh out loud - was instantly attracted to Rachel when he saw her. Feeling duped by his first impression of her, he pushes his luck at their first meeting and finds out just what kind of a woman Rachel is - a damn sexy one when she gets what she wants!

This book was a hilarious, interesting, suspenseful and hot and a great, although short, read. Julie Raust definitely knows how to write dirty before and during sex and can write a hard, demanding yet loving scene. I enjoyed it very, very much. This book is going into my "reread (when I'm in a smexy goodtimes kinda mood) pile".

I am looking forward to her next book!

A contemporary erotic romance novella with a 'real' woman and a rough around the edges cop hero.
The tension in this book isn't the usual will they/won't they type question, rather its a case of is there anything other than sex in this relationship? Rachel is a curvy older woman who's brought up her son on her own and now he's at college, is trying to get back into the 'saddle' sex wise, partly due to the prompting of her gay brother-in-law.
Mitch is a tough, jaded cop who equally doesn't want a relationship, he's forceful, gruff and knows what he wants which equals damn hot in the bedroom (or the hallway, the living room...) but the heroine isn't sure she wants anything else from him, or that he wants anything else from her. They both try to push down their feelings until the emergence of a dirty cop puts them both their relationship and their lives in jeopardy.
Interesting side characters lead the way for a possible sequel, but there is a definite HEA ending for the main characters.

How refreshing to read about a woman who is comfortable in her somewhat larger skin? I love the fact that Rachel is so relatable to the average woman. She is a mother of a college-age son and was widowed when her son was an infant. With her son now off on his own, Rachel decides to take some time for herself, with the help of her gay brother-in-law. She packs up and moves to a new city and finds herself at a party that is nothing like she thought it would be. There she meets Detective Mitch. Mitch is a man who appreciates a woman with curves in all the right places and he loves to show Rachel just how much he likes them. In the meantime, they are both caught up in an investigation and their lives are on the line. Luckily, love conquers all and they live happily ever after. There are some great comical parts in the story as well as intrigue and intense action. There truly is something for everyone in this story!

**I received this book for an honest review.**

This book was rather refreshing since the heroine is a normal (bigger than average) woman. It seemed rather relatable to real life. At first I really did not like Mitch Lang, but then he hits his "I'm going to be the one that's going to protect you" stage and he starts to get his alpha male quality going. :P

I wish there was more development into Rachel and Mitch, only because I am a huge fan of sexual tension and there was hardly any... With that being said I will say some of those sex scenes were pretty steamy!

This is a great book if you don't have much time and want a fast enjoyable read. I really loved the HEA.

Thank you Julie for sharing that story with me. I enjoyed it!

Rachel had been doing everything for everyone else for the lat 20 years. Now the widow is finally ready to cut loose and enjoy the Wilder side of life and Detective Mitch Lang is just the guy to help her.

When they met there's an instant carnal attraction and a misunderstanding could be the best thing to ever happen to them.
Rachel knows what she wants and with her brother in law by her side pushing her to live a little she does just that. I loved how open and willing she is to trying new thing. Mitch enjoys the task of teaching her and at the being he's closed off but add the story unfolds you see the two of then opening up and is great to watch the feeling unfold.

And then there's the hot sweaty action! Keep a fan close by because you will melt!

I have to start by saying that I normally do not read books with heroines that are of real size, but I am so happy that I did! The heroine was human in all of the good ways and reacted just the way I would if an attractive, strong man started to talk to me...I would not be able to talk either.

I loved that they had their own flaws that were believable and compatible. I think Mitch is a great character and was nicely surprised by his dirty talk! ;)

This is the second book I have read by this offer and would be willing to do so again, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I was given this book in exchange for my review...

Ok so this book jumps right in with the hotness LOL In the first couple of pages the Heroine is thought to be a hooker and forced/asked to give the Police officer a sexual favor to keep him from arresting her. Now I know this starts off WILD but I will say for a quick short read this story was action packed from beginning to end and I loved it and wish it could have been a little longer.

Awesomely intense read and worth the time if you are looking for HOT scenes...

I enjoyed this one. It started off a little rocky for me with a cop abusing his authority, but as I read and learned what a great man, brother, and friend he was - especially when you realize what he did for his siblings at the age of 17 - I found that I overlooked the uneasiness that rattled me at first. I loved watching the relationship between Rachel and Mitch morph into a love they couldn't do without. The sex was hot and the love story touched my heart. They both deserved the happiness they've found in each other.

Hot and sweet, the story of Mitch and Rachel is packed with police action, heat, passion, twists and plots! Also really refreshing are the age and the situations of the characters! They are not twenty something but late thirties, they are not physically flawless at least not for her and he is not a billionaire!!! I loved it so much that i was quite shocked when i arrived at the end! Refreshing and entertaining "lessons in forever" is a sweet read and intense moment of pleasure! Two thumbs up!

I really enjoyed it. The synopsis says it all really, this story is exactly how it is described. Going into it I was initially just looking to kill time before bed, but wound up really falling for the story and Mitch and Rachel. There is nothing missing from this story but maybe some more pages. Hot alpha male, strong (learning to find her independence) woman with curves. Perfect match for each other, in a perfect story.
