About the author

Mats Wahl (1945-2025) was a Swedish author. He has published 43 books but also written several plays for the theatre, TV programs, novels and movies. Vinterviken (in English: The Winter Bay) is one of his most famous books, which is also a film.

Without seeing the cover picture, I'm not sure if this was the book I read.

The dust cover of the book I had had a gloriously colorful depiction of the Vasa, and described its discovery, layout, etc.

Another gift from my grandmother, who was always sending us presents from distant lands.
