Another diverse and engaging collection of short fiction and poetry from the Minds Shine Bright writing competition, this one being the second on the theme of Confidence.

My favourite pieces were:

Rising by Tamra Palmer - in which Marian experiences a most unusual and transformational escalator ride.

Puncture by Caitlin Mahony - Tom find friendship and peace while staying with his grandmother.

Nasti Pesto by Dee Barragry - a tale of four mature female friends and how their friendship is recalibrated after a change in circumstances.

A wonderful volume to dip into over time.

What a lovely anthology! True to it's title, the stories and poetry in this book explore the nature of confidence. I especially loved the short "Judgement Day".....and guess what....it indeed, gave me a little boost of courage and confidence foe the day!

This is a wonderful anthology, with a mixture of short stories and poetry. I especially enjoyed "Mop Walks into a Bar." A well put-together collection that will have you eagerly turning the next page.
