This is an absolutely excellent reference for potters and academics alike. Vroom has compiled an extensive collection of finds and laid them out in a logical and organised fashion. Most of the find example types listed are pre-modern, but there are a few early 20th century types listed as well. This is not meant to be an analysis or discussion piece, but a survey and it amply fills that niche. As with any book of this type, I wish for more photos, or at the very least that Vroom had had more space to allow for larger line drawings, but this does not significantly take away from the overall usefulness of this reference book.
