This is a very looooong book, which does not scare me, and sometimes I quite like that, by way of just being able to get lost in one book. This one was hard. I felt for like the first three-forths of the book I just kept asking, "Where is this going?" and, "It's moving so slow." I new there had to be a good ending, knowing that it was a mystery, so I resigned myself to finishing it given how far I had gotten. The end was definitely a twist and nothing I ever would've figured out on my own; but, then again, I am not good at figuring mysteries out in general. This book sort of took my from one book to the next. I had nothing else on tap to read, but then for Christmas I got 2 new books that I'm anxious to read. Luckily I was far enough a long in this book by the time I got those books because at that point I just committed myself to finishing. Had I not been as far along when I got the other two, I don't know if I would've kept reading.
