Alright, I need verification about Davy grinning down a bear seeing as it is the same exact telling here as it was in the movie. Did this actually happen or is it one of the tall tales? He’s one eccentric character nonetheless. What I like most about mountain/frontier men is how they came as they were and still stood for a patriotic cause given that these people are quite the people of the land, and in my eyes would sooner befriend the native peoples rather than go to battle with them. The book does a fair job of explaining more of the subtle nuances to a people who aren’t always as simple as we think.

A good retelling of the classic Disney program. Davy Crockett was one of the most iconic figures in Tennessee. This book tells the story of his adventures in the Creek Indian War, based on the Walt Disney program called Davy Crockett: Indian Fighter.

This is part of the Disney's American Frontier series and is the second book in a set about Davy Crockett.

This book deals with another of the many wars against Native Americans, this one against the Creeks. Some other tribes are fighting on the American side. The American side is headed by Andrew Jackson, who was to become the victor in the battle of New Orleans and eventually became the President.

This book shows how arrogant some of the leaders of the soldiers were, and how difficult the fighting conditions could be. It also shows how the volunteer fighters needed to take into consideration the needs of their families as well as the demands of the military.

This book shows to some degree just how vicious the attitude was towards some Native Americans. It was a dark period of American history and one that has never really been settled.
