This is by far my favorite book in the Letters From the Heart Series! It is just utter perfection! The second chance trope, the characters, as well as the entire plot, are just everything and more! Laura really released another banger with this one!
This book follows Hadley and Luke at ages 16 and 22. They were neighbors until Luke’s dad moved their family to London. Hadley and Luke reunite 6 years later, and well, you probably can guess the rest.
At first I was a bit scared that there is a cheating trope involved but don’t you worry, Laura would never do this to us! This is what I mean when I talk about second chance!
The entire first date thing had me screaming on top of my lungs! What do you mean he included Hadley’s family? Utter perfection! Just the way they both never stopped loving each other during the 6 years of being apart had me screaming, crying, and uncontrollably sobbing. The way Luke treats Hads is so swoon worthy and I hope we get glimpses of them in future books because I miss them already!
I also am absolutely obsessed with Hadley’s family and their little Halloween rivalry with the triplets. Just everything about this was so heartwarming and precious.
My favorite quote needs to be “I’m sure there will be a next time.” because Luke’s sass is just incredible! I CANNOTTTT DEAL WITH THIS GUY!

This book was everything. Despite being a shorter book, that did not change any factor, in fact, I think the author is even more to be congratulated for being able to make everything sound natural and not forced, the attraction of the characters was incredible everything was soooo incredible and it is not just any author who can do it in a smaller book!
I personally loved Hadley and Luke, I loved the personality of both, the way they interact, everything in them made me like them right on the first pages and this doesn’t always happen so once again you can see and perceive the incredible work of the author. Honestly, I want a Luke for me, he’s perfect and Hadley I’d be super friends with her, both are amazing. Both are easy characters to like so yeah it’s impossible to hate them!!!🤭
This book melted my heart, I think it will be one of the books that I will read more than once because it is that book that is not very long, but has everything we need and even brings us a certain feeling of comfort. I think I could spend a long time here writing to try to say how much I liked this book and how easy it was to like the story, but I’ll stop here and say that I highly recommend this book and that you should really give it a chance because you might end up liking it so much as much as me🩷🥹

Such a short and sweet story! Being only 163 pages long, I flew through this book! I loved the dynamic and thoroughly enjoyed Luke and Hadleys love story!
Some bits I loved:
💌 When Nana and Liam came together and made a sneaky plan for Luke to escape his Dad.
💌 Then when Hadleys family had the Halloween rivalry with the triplets was really funny and heart warming!
💌 The scavenger hunt
This is the 3rd book in the Letters From The Heart Series and I do believe you can read it as a standalone, as I haven’t read any of the others and I followed along just fine. I have added the others to my forever growing TBR, because I want to read Carlton and Margo’s story along with Hallie and Logan!

Although it was very well written, with the upmost care and sensitivity, it may still be very triggering for you. Triggering topics include:

This book was a super cute and short read. This is dual POV between Luke and Hadley which flashes back to when they are 16 years old and then we fast forward to when they are 22. They always had feelings for each other from the moment they became friends, but sadly, Luke’s selfish father made them move away from their hometown and tore him and Hadley apart. Six years pass, and Luke realizes that he still cannot live without Hadley, so he moves back to their hometown in hopes that Hadley still has the same feelings for him. There were some sad moments, and some really happy moments and I’m glad they found their way back to each other. What’s meant to be will always happen 🩷

These two were literally perfect. Their chemistry, hurt and pain was all there. I love ld seeing a young Margo and I'm glad as I adored her in the previous book.
I'm slowly coming to realise that Laura's words are like a comforting warm hug, they are easy reads but full of likeable and realistic characters.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVEDDDDD THIS BOOK I NEED MORE OMGG . I literally loved it soooo much ,the plot, the development just everything about it !!! I absolutely cried when Trevor died !!
