I am at that point in life where changing my beliefs became a requirement. I will explain why. Being from a middle class family excelling in studies, getting a good paying job was always in my life goals. I did achieve all of it and more but life had other plans for me. My daughter got diagnosed with autism and the diagnosis hit me like a full blown tsunami. It was all new for me. The more I understood it the more I needed to excel in my career for better monetary growth so that I could afford her therapies. Also to support her needs I needed to change my belief system. The upbringing which I had had to be changed 180 degrees. My expectations from her had to change. I needed to be physically and emotionally fit for her (I still need to do all of this). As the time is passing I am getting better but I need to be at top of my game to keep my inner strength. I need to be able to tell life “BRING IT ON”.
So, I picked this book up as the title intrigued me. The blurb talks about the self doubts, fears and uncertainty in life and how there are tools to address all of this. I am still going through all of this and always on the look out for things which can give me strength. The author advocates “positive inner talk” which I have started and already seeing calmness in my thoughts. I will definitely recommend this to everyone and my autism community specially the parents.
‘Bring it on’ is powerful read for people who want to change their inner belief . It is beautiful read with tools and tips on how to have inner transformation!!
