Pitstop #9

The Last Championship

Rate this book
"Because it's you, me, and them, little demon. Forever."’

I've got everything I could ever want. A family who loves and supports me no matter what. Friends who are breaking through the walls I’d built around my heart to protect myself. A job I love again since Chiara finally jump-started my passion for it.

Most importantly, I am finally married to the most incredible woman in the world and we’re about to grow our family.

But there is something else I’ve wanted for a while now… a third championship title.

I have one season left with Grenzenlos to get the title.

My last chance.

For my last championship.

I am a huge huge HUGE fan of Bridget’s writing! And this novella was no different. I fell in love with these characters in Jump-Start and those characters only got better in my eyes.

I know it’s only a novella, so the jumping tome make sense but selfishly I wish I got more. Only because I love these characters so muuuuch. Like Leonard is the most brooding, hard exterior, harsh simp I have ever read. I love it. His smiles and laughs for her. And only her. And well Adrien haha. But seriously. His love for her is unmatched. Loved this book.

If you are a fan of Bridget’s or this series. This is a MUST READ

It's no secret how much my adoration for Chiara and Leonard goes. They have my heart and then some . Then it's not gonna shock people that I really liked this novella.

Even though I knew most events from the other books , it was so bittersweet to have the full experience.

For me to make this review non spoilery it would be impossible, so please do yourself a favor and read their book Jump-Start . Unlike that one , we had so much more F1 action which will probably appease a whole variety of fans .

Having these two characters elated beyond reason and seeing them becoming a little family, through thick and thin was an emotional ride. Every race he won or lost, her wonderful ambitions regarding the art gallery , every kiss and embrace patched little holes in my heart I didn't even know were there. Their relationship is beyond goals , it's a standard I recklessly and wholly aspire to.

Voraciously living through these characters and wishing them the best in the world. Thank you , wonderful Bridget , for bringing Leonard and Chiara to life and for gifting me this arc.

The Last Championship is a tender, satisfying follow-up for readers who fell in love with Leonard and Chiara. It wraps up their story with heartfelt moments and the familiar high-stakes racing backdrop that we adore.

It was such a beautiful little novella to wrap up their story together 🥰 it also made me love Adrian Romana even more ♥️

If you loved Jump-Start, this novella is a must-read to complete their journey.

This novella was such an amazing addition to Leonard and Chiara’s story; I loved seeing their relationship grow following their book, Jump Start!

The Last Championship was the perfect blend of a sort of “extended epilogue” for not only the couple it featured, but for Leonard’s career in F1. You get to see them follow their dreams together, and this was just such a wholesome experience overall. I also love when a sports romance book showcases the sport itself. Bridget really makes her stories feel so real because not only do the characters have so much depth, and are so lovable, but it’s clear she’s incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about F1. She was able to showcase that, even in a less than 200 page novella!

I love seeing glimpses of all of the side characters as well and their interactions with our main couple, and I swear sometimes it feels like I’m right there with them. I cried when they cried, I laughed when they laughed, I got nervous reading about the races, and I blushed when they…you get the point;)

I also loved the little iconic quotes and scenes put in from real F1 moments, they had me laughing so hard!

Thank you Bridget for sending me the ARC of this novella! So grateful to be one of the first people to read the continuation of Leonard and Chiara’s story!!

I first met Chiara and Leonard when hunting for a good book that will combine my love for reading and my love for all things racing (this is the result of a racing fanatic dad only having daughters) and Jump Start had me hooked! Since my first introduction to Bridget and the Pitstop Series, I have truly been unable to put these books down and then she does me the honour of adding me to the ARC team! Amazing! Thank you!

The Last Championship is like coming home, coming full circle with where this obsession of mine started and the comfort I got from reading about these OG’s was unreal and even better this time around. The F1 action is amplified, the emotions felt too real that I forgot this is a book and that I’m not in the paddock or in the car with them, and the passion was top tier.

Besides my love for our main couple, I loved reading this for the evident love for the sport that Bridget has so successfully conveyed in the best way possible with small easter eggs around every corner and character crossovers that just made this hole reading experience so much better.

I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone in search of a new sports romance (especially if you are an F1 fan) though I will leave you with the following warning:

Be prepared to want to lock yourself up in a room with only the essentials and wanting to forget about the real word and all your responsibilities, because when you start, it is impossible to stop.

i've had the huge honour of being chosen for beta reading " The Last Championship".
What can I say? Bridget's talent strikes again !
I absolutely loved that novella that is following-up her "Jump-Start" book
The story of Leonard and Chiara was already one of a kind but now not only she did continue it but also incoporated some of her other characters (there is even a crossover that was so special to me). So well that you have the feeling of just a big family you just want to be a part of.
She gives the reader the feeling of being special through her words, the feeling of just living the story so intensely making every girl dream about having her own male character like hers.
During this story you will :
- cry (prepare the box of tissues or two haha)
- laugh sooooo much
- get a little bit scared
- fall in love with some characters (at least i did I got to admit haha)
and again be a bit sad when it is over!

In other words if you are a Formula 1 like me and you have read "Jump-Start" don't walk run as soon as it comes out my dearest. You won't regret it !

I’m so incredibly thankful that Bridget gave me the opportunity to beta read this book. I want to start by saying the writing in the book is so beautiful it’s easy to read. Even tho this is a novella I felt like the pacing of this book was perfect it was well thought out it wasn’t rushed and it wasn’t a very slow paced book. I really enjoy reading the banter between all of the characters and how well they all fit together. Leonard’s character development in this book is beyond incredible from going to a man who doesn’t want to share his emotions to excepting them. I can sit all day reading about the way Leonard cares and makes sure Chiara knows how much he loves her and never get tired of it. I love how there’s no drama between Leonard and Chiara the way they know how to comfort each other and really allowing each other to speak and knowing exactly how to cheer each other up with zero judgment is just amazing. The way they all think of themselves as family makes my heart whole because everyone in this book deserves the world and nothing less.

First off all I am honoured to read The Last Championship as an ARC! Thank you for that Bridget.
This Review will not contain any kind of Spoiler because you simply need to read this book if you love her books and F1.

The Last Champinship is a great addition to Leonard's and Chiara's own book, which is Jumpstart. It feels like coming home.

This book makes you fall in love with the characters because of the depth they are written. The characterdevelopment is natural and you write about a relatiinship that simply feels like real life. You feel the love Chiara and Leonard have for each other.
It's an easy to read relationship with the action of F1, which makes this book interesting.

You will love, laugh and cry, Bridget is a Master of getting the emotions transfered from the pages to your mind. And she will make you fall in love with every character and you will see yourself wishing for a man that is like her male characters.

Simply read it and fall in love.
One again thank you Bridget for sending me the Arc, can't wait for everything that is coming

I really loved the dynamic of Chiara and Leonard in this novella, you can tell that they have developed as a couple further from Jump-Start. I enjoyed the Adrian cameos so much, he is such a joy to read about. This novella is a breath of fresh air, I felt comfortable with no conflict and absolutely adored the love that Leonard and Chiara have for each other. The Benz cameo was very sweet and I felt really honoured to peek into married life with the characters, the way Leonard has gotten better at sharing his emotions and frustrations further emphasising how he has developed from book 1. I really appreciated the development of Chiara’s business, it was very inspiring as a small bookstagramer.

What to expect when reading The Last Championship;
-Formula One
-Marriage
-Novella
-Grumpy x Grumpy
-Happy Ever After

I love we got to see more of Leonard & Chiara!! So good to reading him calling her the nickname he has for her “little demon”
Even though this was a novella there is sooo much in the book it was amazing! I loved every second. Her saying “get on your knees for me, husband”. The tattoo scene was chefs kiss I was like OMG she did that! If you haven’t read Bridget’s Pit Stop series you need too because I loved every single book in it!

Favorite line: “and so you can finally start calling me ‘husband.’ It has a much better ring to it than ‘Champ’”

I absolutely loved this novella. I honestly thought it was just gonna be an extended epilogue of Jump Start but I couldn’t be more wrong.
It had a plot (that I loved), loads of the characters from the series and a bit of smut too.

I loved how there was no drama, but the author just portrayed a good, healthy relationship between the main characters and sure, they have their struggles like any human beings but they worked/talked TOGETHER and solved them.

I feel like this novella is what I would want for any romance I read; a few chapters just telling me how my favorite characters are living their lives after what they’re been through in their story.

These two remain my number one favorite couple in this series. They’re so supportive of one another, always doing whatever they can to help each other accomplish their dreams. They have such a healthy marriage, acting as each other’s soundboards and closest confidantes whenever they’re needed, but also finding moments to flirt with each other and make each other feel wanted in every way.

I really loved this addition to their story, and I hope to see them continue to make future cameos in the series💕

This novella is perfect for the series, I absolutely loved it! (4.5/5 stars)

I love how it incorporates all the characters from previous books and really rounds out the whole story timeline. I love that we get to see more of Adrian and Leonard‘s relationship develop. (Any interaction of the two best male characters in the series is always great)
I thought it was really neat how the last chapter is a different perspective/POV on something that happened in the previous book.

Amazing work as always Bridget, can’t wait for what comes next!

This novella was SO. EXTREMELY. GOOD. Bridget outdid herself with this one. I went from laughing, to blushing, to crying, and back to laughing again within 10 pages! Such a great addition to Chiara and Leonard’s story. I love that it felt like a bunch of standalone, interconnected prologues! It was also a great intro to more of the characters I haven’t met in the Pitstop Series yet, and now I can’t wait to read more! Thank you, Bridget, for allowing me to read this ARC!

I was lucky to be a beta reader for Bridget and God I love these characters! It’s like coming home with each book! You get to see many iconic F1 lines that make you giggle. Moments that make you blush and think “ok, damn!” What more can I say other than I loved it! Seeing all the characters together, it’s beautiful.🥲 This was an amazing and much needed novella 🥰

5.00 on CAWPILE/2.5*

This was too lovey dovey between the leads. I know they're meant to be obsessed with each other but it was too much for me. I know I read this out of order but my brain wanted more Leonard and Chiara and sadly I was underwhelmed.
Adrian was great though. Loved seeing him, and a teaser of Julian and Scarlette has me intrigued to start book 2 in the series

I am so incredibly honored to have been given the opportunity to advance read this book. The writing is absolutely stunning, the characters are consistent but given the room to develop naturally. The relationships and chemistry between characters flow as if they are real people and conversations. The cross-overs between books create a sense of family and love that, as a reader, you want to be a part of. The characters are truly understood by Bridget and it allows readers to experience the characters as three-dimensional people. Every character is incredibly loveable and has a depth that can pull readers into each of their lives. Chiara and Leonard truly love each other on every page and their lack of relationship conflict gives the novella a comfortable place to hold on to during the racing drama. The pacing is wonderful and carries the story well without rushing or dragging out any parts. Every page packs emotion, you will laugh and cry and cheer. The passion and love Bridget has for Formula 1 is evident throughout the entire book and the little references to real driver's quotes and moments truly seal the love of racing in this book. Bridget's passion is even more evident in Leonard's passion for the races on every page. Be prepared to be sad when it's over. If you love Formula 1 or romance or especially if you love both, read The Last Championship as soon as it releases! You will not regret getting into Leonard and Chiara's world!

And a very special thank you to Bridget for sending me this ARC! I am beyond grateful to be one of the first to experience Leonard and Chiara's next chapter!
