I found the book helpful in parts, but overall it didn’t fully meet my expectations.
The book touches on a very wide range of topics, but because of that, it ends up covering them only at a surface level. That’s not necessarily a problem, but with this level of depth, it feels more like a guide on what you need to do to as a sustainability manager rather than how to be a CSO.
Although the book promises practical advice, I felt that much of the “how” was missing. In my opinion, it’s quite basic for something aimed at the CSO level and feels more suited to entry to mid-level professionals. That said, I still took away some useful insights from certain sections, so it was a worthwhile read in the end.
