Some good starting patterns and basic instructions, nothing too fancy.

A couple dozen projects with minimal instructions and nothing of interest to anyone. It's too vague to be of use to beginners, at whom it's ostensibly aimed, while being simultaneously too basic and uninteresting to anyone else. Also takes the fad of t-shirt yarn as eco-saver too seriously while promoting commerical/consumerist aspect. Hello, we all have shirts made from jersey fabric that makes perfectly good yarn, but no, you have to BUY it. (No instructions are given for how to make your own, obvs.)

I have the Spanish version of this book. The projects are clearly explained, along with full color photographs. There are instructions on the basics of knitting and crochet, and also tips on how to troubleshoot any differences in the material used, and ways to modify the pattern depending on your skill level. Lots of different project ideas for accessories to wear, and for the home.
