If you are just starting to go gluten free, then this book is a good resource. Lots of good info about gluten issues, substitutions and best of all recipes that are easy to follow. I was specifically after the recipes as I've been gluten free for awhile now and am feeling more confident in being able to avoid it. I'm also sick of eating the same things cooked the same way. This book gets you started down the experimentation path by giving you simply to follow recipes that don't require a two page grocery list. All in all, if you are newly gluten free, this is a decent resource.
This book (in our library) is such a great resource for just starting out on this gluten free diet. I loved the tips for how to find gluten products listed on food labels. Also how to adjust cooking and a list of gluten-free safe places to eat. I also like they have a long list of safe ingredients and a long list of unsafe ones. They made lots of suggestions on what gluten-free products they like best which was incedibly helpful the first time I went to the store. Yeah for rice pasta!
Has great recipes, but wait, there's more! Lots of lists of things that safe or not safe, what it means to eat gluten-free, restaurants that accommodate gluten-free menus, and more. Great resource for gluten-free life style!
