The Inheritance
Dan Martyn never forgave his father for remarrying after the death of his mother, Marie. He left home early and put himself through nigh school, earning a living as a car mechanic, turning down a position in his father's shipping company. Years later, his father's will is read, and Dan agrees to go along on an uncomfortable adventure--across three continents--with his spoiled half-siblings, to literally 'dig up' their inheritances. Alongside his father's most trusted aides and his wife, Rose, Dan travels across oceans, through jungles and over desert, struggling to come to terms with his own anger and regrets.

Real characters in strange places
Surprisingly well written with a few errors. Not a fan of funeral scenes but I really enjoyed the characters, living and deceased; they felt real and personal. Sibling rivalry at its snarky best. My favorite chapters described the fist box in Brazil. I'll try more books from these writers.
