Amber Performing in front of sold-out crowds is easy, but getting my six-month-old daughter to stop crying is almost impossible. I’m stranded in a parking lot after a disastrous swim lesson—keys lost, and on the verge of unraveling—when a stranger comes to my rescue. His competence fascinates me, and when I discover Nolan is a licensed childcare provider, it feels like fate. Now if I can just convince him to come on tour with us, I might be able to keep doing what I love and give Maddy the care she needs.
Nolan Even though I’m unimpressed by fame, I’ve somehow become charmed by music’s biggest star. A few weeks after I start taking care of Maddy, I overhear Amber’s cheating ex trying to persuade her to give him another chance, and I find myself agreeing to a ridiculous scheme to convince him that we’re dating. Before I know it, we’re navigating a relationship that becomes all too real. I’m happier than I’ve ever been, but when the world discovers Amber fell for her daughter’s nanny, the gossip is less than flattering, and I can’t help wondering if our love will survive the fallout.
She's the Star is the second book in the Too Famous series and although it can be read as a standalone, Amber is introduced in Fourth and Long so you may enjoy it more if you start there!
I began reading romance novels in high school. Julie Garwood, Judith McNaught, Jude Deveraux, Amanda Quick and Johanna Lindsay were the first authors I loved. I have always devoured historical romance, but I also enjoy contemporary romance. In recent years, I have embraced sports romance (because it combines two of my favorite things: sports and love stories!).
I am an ex-collegiate volleyball player with an undergraduate degree in history, a former elementary school teacher, and the mother of three daughters. My husband and I spend our free time transporting our girls to dance rehearsals, bantering about sports, and eating entirely too much Mexican food.
4.5 stars This is a fun, entertaining, good read. Nolan and Amber are interesting, intriguing, relatable, complex, captivating, entertaining characters. I enjoyed spending time with them. The path to their HEA is not easy but is entertaining to read. Nolan is such a teddy bear and I love his scenes with Maddy. The secondary characters – especially Maddy – added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment. Russell and Teddy brought entertaining and interesting aspect to the story that I enjoyed. The story is easy to read and get into. While the characters from the first book make appearances in this one, this book can be read as a standalone.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Another great book by Britt! She is 3 for 3 so far with brilliant books. This one follows Amber, who we met in book 1 Fourth and Long as Slater's best friend, and Nolan.
I liked that this one did a couple of reverse or less expected avenues to further break stereotypes! Amber is a famous pop star in need of a nanny, and Nolan stumbles into her life with experience in early childhood education, making him the perfect "family assistant".
It was sweet to watch Amber gain her confidence as a new mother and balance her work and personal life. And Nolan is so incredibly supportive, with not just Amber but most people he's around. As much as I love enemies to lovers and dislike to love, it's refreshing to see healthy relationships like the ones displayed in this book!
This was such an enjoyable fast paced read with two such likeable amazing characters, Amber and Nolan. Honestly they were so perfect together and their story was beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, Fourth & Long, where we first meet Amber and I would suggest reading that one first but not totally necessary. This was beautifully written and had me invested from the beginning. Highly recommend this one! I received a complementary copy from Booksirens.
Fans of celebrity romance will probably enjoy this sweet and quick read about Nolan (the normie) and Amber the superstar pop singer. This story reads like a fairy tale of a couple coming together with all obstacles quickly dealt with on the path to true love. These crazy kids went from fake dating to not communicating well like even a little to declaring their love/BF-GF status with hardly a wobble.
A great touch that Belle makes is having this not be the first time Nolan is fame-adjacent. His father is an action super-star who loves the spotlight. This keeps him from being too freaked out, and makes his transition easier.
Now listen, did everything in this book seem slightly unrealistic, even for a sunny romance novel? Sure! Hire a nanny based off vibes from your first meet! Have to fake date for Reasons! Everyone on the staff (whose job it really is to protect the principal from situations like this) only facilitates it and thinks the whole thing is cute! Also, who carries condoms just loose in their pockets when they aren't sleeping with someone and have no expectation at all of it happening? Not even the wallet but just the pocket?? I have a lot of kindle notes that basically are "He should know better." "Is he bad at his job??" and "Uh" which is possibly me being a generally non-sunny, non-"fairy tale with no strife" person.
I received this book as an arc in exchange for a review.
She’s the Star follows Amber’s journey of juggling motherhood and her singing career. She’s having a bad day when Nolan swoops in and saves the day by calming Amber’s daughter while Amber takes a second to breath and to get her life together. Turns out Nolan is licensed childcare provider and Amber knew she had to have him be Maddy’s nanny. Things take a turn and they start fake dating.
This book was a sweet read.
A part of me hated Amber in the previous book but that’s because I was jealous of her for Ellie. In this book, I sympathized with her. I’m not a mother but I can’t imagine what it’s like to be torn between juggling your career and your family or to feel like you’re not doing a great job at taking care of your baby. On another note, I thought Amber deserved to be happy.
Nolan was sweet. He was perfect. I loved how calm he was about everything. I loved that he loved Maddy. I loved his relationship with his dad (who is amazing by the way). And I thought he was perfect for Amber but I felt like… the book was too easy (granted some drama did happen) and because of that the book was missing something.

After reading Fourth and Long, I knew I would read anything by Britt Belle, and She’s the Star did not disappoint. Ellie and Slater make an appearance in book 2 and I am glad they are still together. She’s the Star tells Amber’s story about stardom, single motherhood, the media, and more. The meeting of Amber and Nolan was perfect, and it was nice to establish that Nolan is quite the cinnamon roll, but he’s not perfect. He’s everything that Amber and Matty need though, and knows how to lay low when it comes to the media. Amber and Nolan are patient with each other and only want the best for each other, there are no games between them – it’s refreshing. Going on tour with a baby and working through whatever scandals are popping up was a lot of the book, and Nolan proved to be Amber’s rock. There is some spice, I would say less than in Fourth and Long, but the desire and chemistry are overflowing in the best way. I can’t wait to read book 3! Things I loved most about the book: How Amber and Nolan met, how Matty took to Nolan immediately, and how down to earth Amber was despite her fame. I also love the role reversal between Amber and Nolan.
This is the second book of the series, but can easily be read as a standalone. It's a heartfelt and captivating romance that blends the glitz of fame with the tender realities of parenthood and personal connection. Amber is a megastar grappling with the challenges of balancing her career and motherhood. When Nolan, a grounded and caring childcare provider, comes into her life, their chemistry is undeniable, and the story unfolds with a perfect mix of sweet, funny, and emotionally charged moments. Their relationship evolves naturally, from an unlikely partnership to a romance that feels both authentic and swoon-worthy and the fake-dating trope adds a playful twist. This is an absolute delightful and uplifting, romantic read with the perfect mix of drama, humor, and heart. If you're looking for a contemporary romance with second chances, found family, and unexpected love, then you definitely will want to try this one. TROPES Dual POV Famous Singer (FMC) Hidden Identity (MMC) Single mom
We met Amber in Book 1, the long time best friend of Slater, navigating her surprise pregnancy. Amber’s story plays out where she navigates how to maintain boundaries and a friendship with Maddy’s father, also a famous singer, while shielding her personal life and romance from the public.
Amber and Nolan have a chance meeting following Maddy’s swim lessons gone awry. Nolan’s background in teaching has him connecting immediately with Maddy, and Amber and the team begging Nolan to accompany them on tour.
Amber enforces a boundary with her ex Teddy by telling him her and Nolan are dating — except she didn’t clear this fake dating scheme with Nolan.
This semi instant attraction plays out without any miscommunication or third act break ups!
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️, .5 🌶️
Thank you BookSirens and Britt Belle for another ARC opportunity.
This was an incredibly fun book to read! Amber is a world famous pop star, and single mom to a baby girl. When she meets Nolan they are both having a very rough day. Nolan helps Amber in the parking out of the fancy private school he was just fired from as she’s trying to find her car keys while her daughter Maddy is screaming.
Amber later convinced him to take a job as her family assistant, nanny, since she trusts him and he’s a proven baby whisperer for Maddy. Their relationship gets even crazier when she tells her ex, and Maddy’s daddy, that she has been secretly dating Nolan. This is news is a shock to Nolan who over heard the conversation.
These two fit es h other perfectly. Her pop star life isn’t easy, and some shenanigans take place that kept me entertained and engaged. This was my first book by the author, but I am definitely interested in reading more of her books.

Amber is trying to survive the life of a mother of a six month's old and a pop star. Nolan was the headmaster of a preschool, now unemployed and now is Maddy's new nanny.
Amber is both a confident artist and an insecure new mother. I've enjoyed seeing a woman with different layers and different levels of confidence.
Nolan is a box of surprises, from his profession to his knowledge of being close to a known person.
I really enjoyed their meet cute and the no third act break-up, I think those are overused and when a story doesn't need It, there isn't to force one.
The reversed roles is super interesting as in the star-nanny trope the regular is the star being a man and the nanny a woman, also with an interesting age gap, what doesn't happen either in this book.
I enjoyed reading the story of Amber, with a really supportive Nolan and a really lost Teddy, Amber's ex.

What a fun twist from the usual male rockstar and woman the nanny. In this case it is Amber as the musical phenom an Nolan, famous in his own right as who his biological and ever present father who is the 'Business Assistant' or male nanny. Nolan was every bit as hunky as any lead male roll and Amber is beautiful and adorable, plus kind and full of grace for such a world renown popstar.
Of course they had their rollercoaster of a ride, which is the usual ups and downs a couple has to go through, yet different because of their positions in life. There were unique scenarios which led to a good, fun ending. I was very interested in the storyline and enjoyed the sweet baby Maddy, too.

Amber is a new mother and a pop singer wondering if she can do both. She is frustrated when Maddy won’t stop crying at swimming lessons and gets ready to leave but her keys and phone are locked in her car. Nolan has just been fired from his job as an early childhood headmaster. He offers to help Amber in the parking lot and takes Maddy, who immediately stops crying. Amber needs a nanny, and he is great with Maddy. This is a wonderful book. I love how Amber is so well-known yet strives to remain herself. She works hard to keep her ex, Teddy, in Maddy’s life but Teddy would love to get back together. All Nolan wants is to help Amber with her career and care for Maddy which he is starting to really care about. I love that all the good qualities of being a caretaker to an infant are embodied in Nolan who knows what he wants. Great characters and story.
The fake dating and tension brings you in but you'll want to stay for the incredibly heartwarming found family.
Picking up after Book 1 in this series (but could be read as a standalone), we see a different side of popstar Amber. She's in very relatable parenting situations and dealing with mom guilt. She has a team around her but needs someone specifically for Maddy and she won't settle. After a chance meeting with child whisperer Nolan, she can focus on her performance.
This book focused on the relationships of the people who care for baby Maddy. This is still a love story but it's more than just what Amber has with Nolan. I loved that the author gave us a sweet pairing for Amber with calm and wise Nolan. Right away he shows himself to be trustworthy and dependable. He quickly becomes committed to Amber and baby Maddy, and he helps strengthen everyone in Maddy's family.
Highly recommend to moms who love a good romance novel.
I received this book as an eARC from Booksirens and this review is based on my own opinion.
She's The Star is the second book in the Too Famous series but can be easily read as a standalone because in this book we follow popstar Amber (who is mentioned several times in the first book).
She is a single mom who struggles a bit with her daughter. When things go wrong one day, she meets Nolan, who is there to help her, and he happens to be a child caretaker who immediatly clicks with her daughter.
Amber is about to go back on tour and she insists on hiring Nolan to take care of Maddy.
Since I've loved the first book of the series so much I was excited to read this and it surely did not disappoint. I gave it 4 stars because I like the other one just a bit more.
I would recommend this book if you're into popstar romance, fake relationships, dating the nanny.
I liked Amber a lot in this book, she’s finding her footing as a mother and her struggles made her relatable. There was something that didn’t make me click with Nolan but I liked his character. He’s a good match for Amber. And I loved that Slater and Ellie made an appearance!
Maddy is the cutest but I think one of my favorite characters in this book has to be Teddy because he grew so much. I felt like a proud mother as he finally accepted his flaws and his role as a father.
As always, Britt’s writing had me swooped in the story from the beginning and I loved reading this book, and I hope there is going to be a third in this series!

This was truly an adorable read, and I absolutely loved Amber and Nolan! They were perfectly matched and clearly perfect for one another.
I usually steer clear from popstar romances, there's always an aura of fakeness around them, but Britt was able to create the perfect balance for her characters, never going over the top! And I particularly loved that there wasn't a third-act breakup, it wouldn't have made any sense for the story.

I really liked this one! Easy to read and I am totally a sucker for these types of books. Amber is the superstar – Nolan becomes the nanny (or Family assistant if you will 😉 ). He cares for Amber’s daughter during her tour, and their story begins.
Fast paced read with two characters that was impossible not to love. They fit so perfectly together and I loved reading their story. Recommended read from me!

This is the second book in the Too Famous series by Britt Belle. While each book is written to be read alone or together, having some additional background is helpful and the first book was good!!
We follow Amber, who is a crossover character from the first in this series (Fourth & Long), and Nolan. I enjoyed this book more than the first and love to see how Britt Belle's writing has progressed. Several of my favorite tropes were in this book.
I will recommend this book to all those who love a good romance.
Thank you for the copy, this is my honest opinion.
I really enjoyed this well-written rock star romance - perfect for fans of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Nolan is a total green flag hero. The conflict was well set up with his famous father and her very public life. I also liked the way it played with stereotypes given that he's the family assistant. It can be read as a standalone because I haven't read the first book in the series, but look forward to reading it now! This book was such a cute fast paced read. Amber and Nolan really knew what they wanted and went for it.
Nolan who just lost his job as a headmaster runs into a woman in distress who just happens to be famous singer Amber, He assists her and asks for nothing in return and goes on his way. Amber not expecting his lack of care over her famous status decides to do some research and comes up with a plan for him to be her nanny on tour for her daughter and thus the adventure begins.
This story was really one of growth and it was a breath of fresh air to see a MMC be mature and handle situation with a level head.
Book 2 in Belle's Too Famous series and can be read as a standalone. Our main characters are Nolan and Amber. Well written, smooth flowing and captivating storyline and characters. Liked the dual point of view as well as the secondary characters that really brought things together. A great read that has me wanting to go back and read book 1 and excited for more in this series!

She's the Star by Britt Belle is the second installment in the Too Famous series, and it is just as good as the first installment!
Amber and Nolan's epic meet-cute leads to a new job for Nolan and a love that neither saw coming. Along the way, Nolan has to deal with Amber's fame as a huge pop star, plus her ex and baby daddy.
You'll love this funny and engaging story, which includes a cameo from Slater and Ellie. I was turning pages long into the night on this one! Enjoy!
The story was sweet: very famous popstar hires male nanny and they start (fake-) dating. The main characters were both very nice persons, there was no real conflict or obstacles to overcome and thus there was just not happening very much in this book. It was an okay read but not more.
I received an ARC via booksirens.com and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was adorable! I stayed up well past midnight finishing it. I couldn't put it down. There were times. However, I felt as if Amber only thought of Nolan as her nanny, like she was using him in some way after they got together; however, every time she would plan something special for them, it went out the window. The end of the book was so sweet, but it would have been nice to see Nolan making more moves than Amber. It was her initiating spice and dates. The last chapter before the epilogue ended on a rushed note to me, but the sweet epilogues made up for it. Usually, I'm not too fond of the single mom tropes, but I certainly enjoyed this one.
