In the Steps of the First One Hundred: A pilgrimage to the graves of the first one hundred members of Alcoholics Anonymous

Rate this book
This book is a guide to the last resting place of the first one hundred members of Alcoholics Anonymous. It is also a travelogue of sorts.

“The First One Hundred” is a phrase that refers to the original members of Alcoholics Anonymous up to the time the AA Big Book was published on April 10, 1939. The term sometimes sounds mystical. It is mystical because it strikes to the core of the Mythos of Alcoholics Anonymous. Certainly, the original members were not Gods such as Zeus and Apollo that helped to form Greek mythology. But The First One Hundred form the history of the Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous. Every sober and living member of the fellowship owes them a debt of gratitude and one way to honor their memory is to visit their graves. We hope this work inspires and enables you to do so.
