Freddie and Joel from Morrel & Morcerf and the Spear of Destiny return for another globe-trotting adventure. On their way to the marriage altar, Prince Frederick and his consort Joel detour to Paris to recover a missing painting. While in the City of Light, they learn about a newly discovered treasure looted from Frederick’s homeland and now up for sale.
The couple follows the trail to London, where they come up against another connoisseur of sorts, a notorious local mobster, Tristan Eames. A brutal man with a penchant for Greco-Roman relics and delusions of grandeur, Eames claims to be a Trojan descendant himself. He is after the same treasure.

These books are absolute candy to me. Hot gay guys chasing bad guys, when they're not being chased by same. For this one you get to add they're rescuing teens from sex traffic. I never read series--and I adore this one.
The Face of Hektor is a thrilling, fast-paced adventure featuring Prince Frederick and Joel from Morrel & Morcerf and the Spear of Destiny. This time, they’re in Paris, trying to recover a stolen painting but quickly get pulled into a hunt for Trojan treasure. Their globe-trotting leads them to London, where they clash with a brutal mobster, Tristan Eames, who's after the same treasure. The story's mix of history, archaeology, and action makes for a fun ride, and Freddie and Joel's dynamic is full of charm. Their growing relationship adds a sweet undercurrent to the fast-paced plot. The villain, Eames, is an over-the-top gangster who adds real menace to the story, especially when the couple rescues a trafficked teenager from his grasp. The book delivers on suspense, history, and heart. The only downside might be the cover, but the content inside is a gem!.

This is another great action/adventure story for Prince Frederick and his soon-to-be husband Joel. They ARE on their way to the altar, but take a little detour to recover a missing painting, then they hear about a newly discovered treasure...and they are off again. Their pursuit pits them against a mobster who also happens to deal in sex-trafficking, and they irk him both by pursuing 'HIS' treasure and also by helping one of his victims. Danger, drama, action, and suspense ensue, as the mobster gives chase. Will the guys get away with the treasure? Will they ever tie the knot? This is a fun, chaotic ride, with some hold-your-breath moments, that I really enjoyed.

this was everything that I was looking for and enjoyed from the first book, it had that element that I was looking for and thought the concept worked well overall. The characters worked in this universe and was glad I got to go on this adventure with them. Kyle Baxter wrote this perfectly and am excited for more.

Ok. I just gotta say....the ending was unfair. Lol. I got through this WHOLE book without shedding one single year and you had to drop me in the postscript. This was such a good book. A great adventure and mystery! I really want so many more books. I want to see Peter, Dante & Rocco all grow up more and lead their lives. This was just phenomenal.

The Face of Hektor is the second book in the Adventures of Morrel and Morcerf series. I must admit to having never read the first book in the series. Kyle Baxter is a new to me author. I loved watching Freddie and Joel do their thing as they make their way to the altar. Wonderful story.
