American author David Stroebel- who ignited a firestorm in Germany when he disclosed his great-grandmother's banishment from Germany's Krupp 400-year-old steel dynasty of Essen, Germany. Engelbertha Krupp chose the love of a poor shoemaker over a wealthy dynasty and was banished and disinherited forever. Her story will captivate you, enthrall you and inspire you. Convicted at the Nuremberg Tribunals for crimes against humanity for using slave labor from Auschwitz Concentration Camp during World War II. He resides in Monmouth County, New Jersey with his wife and children. Seeking veteran documentary filmmaker to tell this intriguing story.
A fascinating tale albeit not very well written. It may never be known if Engelbertha Krupp was in fact related to the Krupp dynasty as the family is apparently disputing the author's claims, but if you can stick with it, past the grammatical errors and constant jumping around in time and can keep everyone's name straight, it's an intriguing tale of a woman who may have defied one of Germany's most notorious armaments manufacturers in order to marry for love.
