At first, I found the book a bit dry, but that changed once I got to the case studies. The real-world examples, like Netflix, Apollo 11, and Coca-Cola, really brought the concepts to life and made them easier to understand and remember the concepts.
The case studies effectively highlighted both successful and unsuccessful problem-solving strategies, making the content more engaging and relatable.
Overall, it’s a great resource for anyone looking to learn through practical, real-life scenarios about critical thinking
Seems written by AI. The publisher “Woven Brink” seems to have no online presence. The author “Kevin Brown” has had a prolific 2024! Just a mess of concepts of techniques cribbed from other sources. The case studies are terrible, because ironically, that would require the author to apply his own critical thinking! Having said that, it’s not unhelpful as a reference guide. Perhaps the whole thing is a test to see if you are thinking critically by accepting it is a legitimate work!
This book is a must-read for both teens and adults. It offers practical insights and exercises that are easy to follow and apply, making it an essential tool for anyone who wants to make wiser, well-informed decisions. Highly recommended!
A good comprehensive guideline to the thought processes of good and concise problem solving. I especially appreciated the chapter on collaboration to gain other perspective and insight. Well done!
The book focuses on effective learning and developing critical thinking skills. The ability to solve problems and analysing problems critically are one of the cornerstones of this book.
Brown covers the topics comprehensively, but it reads like it was written in a rush. It's poor structure leads to too much repetition. Too many bullet points and not enough narrative. And the case studies are really weak.
