Fables of I. A. Krylov

Rate this book
196 fables in rhyming narrative verse. The text successfully came through the editorial control, so it is literate. The stories in the book, looking as a fiction, may be expanded on real everyday situations and they have usefulness because of that. The definite sense and humor of stories heighten spirits and bring a smile. Rhyming verse with the usual grammatical structure and usual (not using rarely) words is easy to read. The book is recommended for adults and teens. But many fables are good for children too because, except the fabulous content, each fable has written in the unique For example, in fable 1.10 “The cornflower” the sun saves the cornflower from fading and we “But time was passing and the sun appeared in the sky,And scattered its light beams,And looking smiling floral life Was washed with dew, declining dream. And our cornflower after nightWas animated and its petals were meeting vivid light.”In fable 1.12 “The siskin and the hedgehog” we “Sitting alone,A siskin sang a song at dawn.He did not wait for any praise someone might bring himBut no, he enjoyed his singing! Then from the sea, in sky the Feb aroseAnd his radiant light brought a great causeThat everywhere light awoke and, meeting his bright good,A choir of the nightingales resounded from wood...”In fable 1.16 “The Donkey” we see humor and the “He brayed with savage voice which was so loudThat in beginning all wood was in fear.Folk tried to find out,What was the beast that just appeared? But the first year still didn’t reach the endWhen who’s the donkey all could understand…*******To get great nature and a rank are good for nowBut contradiction may be there if soul of the person is too low.”In fable 2.5 “The dogs’ friendship” dogs Polkan and Barbos swore in their friendship to each other and promised to divide any meal between them and we see “But from the kitchen door a cook threw a waste bone. And new dogs-friends to catch it run,Forgot all promises they just had done.Polkan and dog Barbos rolled in the fightAnd shreds of fur flew out to all sides. At last the dogs were separated by cold water.******* So many friends love for each one to show their bother. It seems they have like equal their face,May promise you some help if it’s a usual case. They show smile, put some fog in talksBut throw them a bone they’re fighting like the dogs.”And need to say that each of all 196 fables in the book has the unique verse, humor, and conclusion. Also easily readable verses may be useful for people who want to improve their English.Welcome to read!
