In this book we cover the 5 key aspects of a good website framework design and why these elements are absolutely essential for your site.
The 5 key areas
1. Hosting This is a very key decision because if you don’t get your hosting right your website will be delivered really slowly and this is now a ranking factor with Google. In fact according to a recent estimate done on Amazon.com if their load time was just 1 second slower they would lose 1.3 billion dollars!
2. Software / CMS There are many great sources out there for CMS (Content Management Systems) and software with some even free to use. This step doesn’t have to be expensive but it does need doing right.
3. Design Design is not the same as choosing a good CMS. Design is basically the style which sits on top of your CMS. This is how the website functions and what it looks like. This shouldn’t be impacted by what kind of CMS you use but it needs to be optimised to load right as well.
4. Architecture This section is about your coding and how solid it functions to do the job it needs to do; essentially communicating to the browser and telling it when things should be loaded and when.
5. Project Management Here you don’t have to do everything yourself. It is actually better that you don’t do the majority of this step. I will show you the best tools and tricks for getting good workers for the right amount of money for your business.
