The book is badly out of date, so a new edition would be nice. Fury bulks up the page count with a lot of tedious and often inaccurate synopsis of the films and TV series discussed. There are a few other mistakes, as well, and his opinions are not always convincing because he sometimes gives them without helping readers really understand the problems or virtues of the shows he discusses. He is a fairly good researcher and presents most of his facts well. The book was published later, and in that way is more complete than the otherwise superior TARZAN OF THE SCREEN.

A good overview, though a tad dry. Read Gabe Essoe's TARZAN OF THE MOVIES instead, though that book seriously needs an update.
