I’m at the top of the world. My list of my accomplishments over the last few years has grown to proprietor of New Valley; governor of Karlton; head of House Landon; owner of the Giantskarl and Opal Dungeons; wartime outfitter for the Draconic Resistance Army…
And on top of that, I’m about to marry a dragoness. What else could I ask for?
But when you have everything, you stand to lose the most.
The King has summoned my presence. As it turns out, his coffers are running empty and he has decided to invade the Juniper Islands to seize their mines of sapphire. And I, as his strongest asset, am to lead the assault.
But that goes against everything I stand for. I can’t accept his order, though he leaves me no choice. It’s either that or he’ll lay siege to New Valley and destroy everything I care about!
What can I do? My dream was to build and run a Merchant Empire, it was to help people out, not become an oppressor. I’ll have to make choices, impossible choices. But in my years of traveling the world to perfect my craft, I have made some powerful allies who might support my case should I decide to defy the King and declare my independence. Also, there’s a new class advance waiting for me when I hit Level 10, one with combat oriented skills that could give me a leg up in this brewing conflict…

King and Queen
Book 5 and conclusion of the series. This book could have been a trilogy unto itself. So many things happen and it is thing after thing whirl wheeling down to the end. I did enjoy the series, and I like that it is open enough we could have more tales from this same universe. The ending is one that will leave you with a smile at least it did me. I really liked this take on magic as it was a lot more mundane and engineering then waving your hand and boom done. This series had plenty of potential to be a12 book series, that said I don’t feel bad that it was 5 and don’t feel like anything was left out to the detriment of the story.

Lovely series, this final book felt rushed. I felt after finishing it that the author was getting tired of the series but didn’t like leaving things unfinished. Tied up all the loose ends into a neat package of expected outcomes.
Thought more details of the world could have been flushed out, especially after the time skip to start the book. I had to quickly piece how the characters changed without any real knowledge of why.
Overall though, I enjoyed it. I maybe wouldn’t recommend it, but if you have the time to spare you’ll enjoy it.

Great series
This was a really great series. Good character building and world building. Every book had plenty of action and the plot moved very well throughout the entire series. This final book brought Artemis to completion and neatly tied up all the loose ends. I read each book in around 6 hours but I read pretty quickly. Really looking forward to more work from this author.

Very good read
I enjoyed reading this book very much and I recommend this book to anyone who likes LitRPG and progression type of books with lots of action.

Not the ending I wanted, but the ending I needed. The fast pace kept my attention as all the plot points were dealt with.

Disappointed
Honestly it was a hodgepodge more than anything else. It was just badly written, I could have been so much better but didn't.

A decent end to a reasonably entertaining series. Not by any means an epic story, but if you like the genre its 3 stars.
