Taylor’s dating life is a train wreck. It always starts off well enough, but by date five the first rush of hormones disappears and all that’s left is a man who is, in a word, disappointing. Forget dating, what Taylor needs is a no-strings-attached bed buddy she can ditch when she finally finds a man who measures up. Cooper is handsome, intelligent and anything but disappointing. Best of all, he’d be more than happy to apply for the job of Taylor’s bed buddy. Too bad he’s got the one strike against him Taylor can’t overlook—she’s so attracted to the man she can’t see straight. The way Cooper touches her, kisses her, is sexy as hell. Their chemistry is nothing short of incendiary. Taylor knows she’d better run, not walk, from his firm hands and hot promises because if there’s one thing she’s learned about Cooper, it’s that what the man wants, he gets. A Romantica® contemporary erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave

I received a free copy through BookSirens and I ‘m leaving a voluntary review. The attraction between Taylor and Cooper is sizzling hot and their lovemaking scenes are descriptive and the best part of the book IMO. The premise of the story is promising but the book never really delivers. I found the writing repetitive and I’ve spotted several errors and contradictions.
If your looking for an erotic read that leaves you hot and bothered, this is certainly a good one to choose!
This is the first book I’ve read by Beverly Havlir but it sounded cute, quirky and too fun to pass up. And for the most part, that’s exactly what you get when you pick up this book.
The blurb obviously lets you know what to expect but I didn’t realise that our couple didn’t really know each other at the beginning of the novel. Not that this is an issue - I just assumed that our pair were friends first. It put a different spin on the story and what I expected from it.
The first two pages of the book were very ropey. The minute I started reading I wasn’t sure that I could continue as the dialogue was, well, a bit cringe! But by the third page (seriously, it was that quick) I felt the author got over her nerves and things started to flow and fall into place. After that, not once did I experience that same feeling as those first 2 pages! I enjoyed the writing from then on and felt it kept me interested in both the story and the characters from beginning to end. Once I started, I was hooked.
I really loved the journey of Cooper and Taylor’s relationship. The way that it seamlessly went from ‘nothing will ever happen’ to ‘friends-with-benefits’ to something so much more. I loved the way that it felt that Taylor didn’t seem to realise the evolution until she was in too deep, while Cooper was enjoying things too much to rock the boat and maybe put a stop to what he really wanted.
Cooper was a nicely alpha billionaire with control issues. He’s cold and grumpy enough to make my girl parts happy - but the way he really appreciates and enjoys Taylor, and is a bit of a big teddy bear around her, is what I really love in a hero. And for once, my idea of Cooper definitely matched the cover model. Mmmm hmmm.
At first I wasn’t sure I’d like Taylor, if I’m honest. She’s gorgeous and has no trouble getting men - just finding a man up to her exacting standards. She’s pretty much perfect. Can you see why I wouldn’t like her? But gah - I ended up liking her after all. She’s a wee bit neurotic and manages to find herself in situations she didn’t really plan for and that I can relate to! Plus, she goes in to everything with her full heart and you can’t help but appreciate that.
Together the pair had hella chemistry. I wasn’t expecting the filthiness and sexy shenanigans that this book gave me. I love myself a dirty talker and Cooper liked it dirty. There was enough sex to keep me very happy indeed. Okay, there was some very minor anal probing which is so not my jam - but I skipped over that since it was only once. Hardly worth mentioning - yet here we are!
Once I got started, I really enjoyed this book. It was an interesting story with fun characters and good writing. I’ll probably check out the first book in the series (don’t worry, they stand alone from each other) and I’ll watch out for anything Ms Havlir writes in the future. 4 stars from me!
*I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. It is entirely my own, honest opinion.*
I have mixed emotions about this book. Overall it was an okay quick read. I started the book and within a few pages I was considering making it a DNF due to the numerous times it made me cringe or ask myself - seriously - did she seriously write that? But I wanted to push through and with it only being 8 chapters I vowed to myself I could make it to the end. It did get better. It did not get great, but there was less cringing as I went on and less things that I noted to talk about in my review. With all that said, on with the business.
1. What is the trope? - Billionaire
1. Are the character's developed in a way that makes me care about them? - No. I seriously couldn't have cared less if I knew another thing either of these characters did. The hero's inner dialogue is seriously terrible at the beginning of the book. The author includes descriptions like "He wiped all expression from his face and hoped he wasn't drooling". I mean really? Has anyone, ever in the history of time, let alone an alpha billionaire ever drooled over a woman? If anyone can answer yes to this I want pics or it didn't happen.
2. Did the dialogue flow? - Surprisingly yes. It was a little stilted at the beginning, but dumb phrases or internal dialogues aside the conversations between characters didn't feel forced or formulaic. It was a bit cringy at times, but it smoothed out as the book progressed.
3. Were the events believable? - The events - yes. There weren't any scenes that I couldn't believe, just inner dialogue.
4. Did any of the characters do anything that made you cringe in a "real people are not this dumb" way? - I know I've said this over and over but yeah - here are some more examples - He wanted "to see if she was really as beautiful in reality or if his brain was seriously damaged". That made me eye roll. Also, how it was just casually dropped that that his mother had "died of a lingering incurable illness when he was ten". That phrase was just dropped in there, and not developed later. I felt like it was an afterthought that was crammed in there at some later phase of writing to justify another short tangent in the storyline.
The heroine didn't get off scott free of eye rolls either - at one point she was watching him give a speech and "scribbled the word gorgeous next to his name and found herself underlining the word over and over". What are we, 13? If any of you grown ass women out there are doing this - just stop it.
Also she talks with her best friend about how she has obsessed over him for the past year and compared each and every man she has dated in that time to him, although she knows so little about him that when she is planning to actually meet with him the first time she has to google him. What? That little blurb actually got my entire face to crinkle up and me to turn my head sideways.
5. Is there anything you wish would have been different (without spoiling the story)? - The reason I request to review this book was a little hook in the blurb about her 5 date rule. I really thought the story would center more around that and how the hero overcomes it, or what she does to make sure he still fits in her five rule, or even a better understanding with some examples of dates and where they fell on her 5 date rule , but then it switched over to a friends with benefits storyline.
6. What do you mean by your star rating? - 3 Stars from me mean it wasn't really good. I just felt Meh when I was done, but I didn't hate it.

Great idea, but missed some detail that should have included. He is a successful owner of a publishing company who has avoided her, one of his employees, because she is a “relationship girl”. She dates to this entire year to get him out of her mind. She goes in search for a friends with benefits relationship which he over hears and then pursues her. The relationship blossoms from there. It seems as though from the beginning he is wanting an actual relationship with her and is hard to understand where his mind changes. There is also no concept of time throughout the book. Those details would have been nice to have. There was also a lot of repetition in the inner dialogue that had me skimming through parts.
I did like that it was pace. I also enjoyed the steaminess. There were a couple hot scenes that was perfectly described. The characters had off the charts chemistry that obvious.
Only took a couple hours to read. I recommend if u are looking for a quick read with minimal detail. If you are looking for a novel with deep connection and emotion I do not recommend.

I found the general plot interesting, which was what drew me to the book to start with. I don't relate or sympathise with the characters since it's a completely different world to mine. I do find the synopsis was a little misleading in its wording though. I also found it hard to distinguish between the narrators sometimes, it seems to flick between them too often.
The pacing was off for me, it seemed to jump from scene to scene with very little except the explosive sex... And when it was a decent scene it was cut short for a sex scene. Due to this is was hard for me to pick it up, I don't mind the steamy scenes but there has to be a actual story. I was so looking forward to seeing Emily get married and it totally bypassed this event so they could have their HEA.

Taylor and Cooper are fun, interesting characters. The primary conflict is Taylor’s great fear and dislike of media attention while Cooper deals with being a media target. A few bad things happen to Cooper which increases his media presence, but since Taylor is all about keeping their relationship a secret it doesn’t affect her directly. The chemistry between them is steamy. The relationship evolves steadily throughout except for the brief moment of doubt that we know to expect. While this was an enjoyable read, the characters didn’t really have to deal with anything earth-shattering to help them grow until Cooper confronts Taylor. More conflict could have made this better. This is "fan yourself" steamy but after all the steam dissolves there's substance. I love Cooper's determination and how he instantly knows that his attraction to Taylor is so much more than the physical. I think they both realize this but are so overwhelmed that avoidance becomes they way they deal with it. Resistance is futile and Cooper up for the challenge of convincing Taylor by any means necessary. As sensual as this is, with these two strong-willed and independent and supportive characters, it still really has that sweet romantic element and it was a joy to read how they so seamlessly work themselves right into the relationship zone. Love it!! I received a free copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "TEMPTING TAYLOR" Taylor Saunders is a strong feisty woman who has a thing for the gorgeous hot Cooper Hathaway who owns Hathaway Publishing. Taylor doesn't like being in the media at all due to her parents divorce and the media circus it caused as where Cooper is in the media regularly especially after his stepmother Bettina lost the company to him after his father died. Taylor and Cooper start out with a friend's with benefits relationship then it turns into something more their chemistry is sizzling hot this is defintely a must have book so well worth the read I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the characters.
Four and a half stars. This book is loaded with sexy scenes and some really nice people. Taylor uses her past as an excuse to avoid a relationship with Cooper. They are both extremely attracted to each other so she decides a “friends with benefits” is her best option. Her friend, Emily, is a good grounding for her and talks her through some of her out of some of her more ridiculous ideas. Although the story is not really unique, the story telling is excellent. Definitely worth the time I spent reading.

My favorite "escape" is reading billionaire romances and "Tempting Taylor" by new-to-me author Beverly Havlir was perfect, with characters you want to know and a smartly written story that kept me glued to the book from the beginning until I read the last word. I loved the attraction and sizzling chemistry between handsome billionaire Cooper Hathaway and Taylor Sanders. If you enjoy smoldering contemporary billionaire romance, don't miss this book. I received an advance reader copy of this book from Booksirens and am voluntarily leaving my review. I look forward to reading more from this gifted author.
First I was reluctant to read as I've read several types of this story but this one is different in the sense that they've both characters had prior attractions towards each other.
The love scene was stimulating, loved how Cooper too charge where necessary, how easy their love story was. This book brought butterflies to my belly and I enjoyed reading it. Looking forward up reading more from this author.

Cooper and taylor’s chemistry was off the charts from the beginning. It was so bad they struggled to speak to each other. It was nice seeing them get to know each other and how they brought out the best in each other and knocked down the walls they both had up. I read this in a few hours - it’s not the sort of book you can keep putting down- it needs to be devoured in one sitting. First I have read by this author but definitely not the last. I received an ARC from BookSirens and am leaving this review voluntarily
This book is ultra-hot! Taylor and Cooper have amazing chemistry. I have a great time with these two, and couldn´t put the book down! I read it in an afternoon. I really like him, because he knows what he wants -in this case, Taylor- and goes for it. I lose my patience with her a couple of times during the story but she is too cute to say anything negative. I really really enjoy this one. If you like smoking hot romance, this is your cup of tea. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Tempting Taylor is the story of Taylor Sanders and Cooper Hathaway. Cooper is your tall, dark, handsome businessman, and Taylor is a firecracker in her own right, wanting to land an interview of the elusive publishing executive. Their romance is STEAMY, and what starts as a friends with benefits situation turns into something more!! The story itself is pretty fluffy, but the chemistry more than makes up for it. I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
Both Taylor and Cooper have been fighting their fierce attraction to each other for a year. Taylor persuades Cooper to give her an interview over dinner which inevitably leads to more. However, Taylor wants to keep their relationship quiet as she had a bad experience with publicity as a child and Cooper is always in the press. They struggle with their ever increasing feelings for each other. Some humour as well as hot and steamy moments. Read an ARC for an honest review.
Taylor has been on a streak of bad dates. Her recent attempts at dating were her way to combat her attraction to Cooper. She decides to give up dating and find someone to be friends with benefits. All goes sideways in her plan when Cooper tells her that he is the only one that can apply for that role. The book was funny and full of heat! It was an entertaining journey for both Taylor and Cooper. I received an advance copy and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Cooper and Taylor are so sweet together it starts off with them just being friends who just have sex, but of course that was not going to last especially when both of them have been crushing on each other for a year! This was my first time reading a book by this author. And I have to say I am know a fan of hers. From beginning to end there was so much lust and passion in this book. I absolutely fell in love with this couple.
This book left me feeling let down. It had so much potential but failed to deliver. I feel that there wasn’t enough depth to it. Once Cooper and Taylor finally got into bed it felt like they never left it. The sex scenes were well written and quite descriptive so we know that the author can write. Unfortunately I won’t be looking to read anymore by this author. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
"Happy ever after now seemed like a very real possibility. He was so screwed."
Prepare for heat! Taylor and Cooper's story is all kinds of naughtiness. When casual turns into something more. The author did well with back stories especially with this being novella length. It's a really great read dealing with some ups and downs Taylor and Cooper go through to get to their happily ever after.
I received a free copy of this book for my honest review.
This is the first story that I have read from Beverly Havlir and she does a great job creating the chemistry between Taylor and Cooper. The overall story flows at a good pace and she creates some conflict between the two. If you want a good steady romance with steamy chemistry and minor conflict then Tempting Taylor delivers!
Taylor and Cooper are two characters with a magnetic attraction. That’s what binds this romance. I enjoyed watching them fall from lust to love. However, the book felt a little rushed and could be due to the length; I wanted more. I would recommend this as spicy quick read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I received this free eARC novel from Booksirens and the author. This is my honest review.
This was a decent novel. Taylor had two kinds of personalities, and they kept clashing with one another during this book. I was surprised that she was so speechless and shy-like around Cooper because she seems to have a handle on her life in every other way. And Cooper knew what he wanted, and he was determined to get it. But he was patient and thought of every outcome before making a move.
