In a culture that idealizes youthful looks and encourages elaborate makeovers or even surgery to achieve them, the idea of natural beauty is often all but ignored. But, true beauty is within reach for women of any age. This title outlines a series of lifestyle changes that can improve appearance in a single month.
I just read this book and it has reminded me of several things: 1. exercise: good. sitting on butt: bad. 2. proper diet will improve both life and appearance 3. that beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Love the book. Of course it promotes the purchasing of the Dr. Hauschka beauty products, but it also gives recipes for homemade masks, etc. Also comes with fun recipes for meals at the back. :o) That's always a plus!
I think this book is amazing! I learned that being healthy doesnt have to be such a big pain! You don't have to find the "magic supplement" or the "best acne cream." And you don't have to spend a crapload of money on chemicals that never seem to work! The bottom line is, is if you use what God has given you, not what man has made, your gonna be beter off in the long run. I love her theories.
Inspired me to pay more attention to my skin care regime, though honestly my face responds better to disregard than constant attention. I appreciated that the book wasn't just an infomercial for Dr. Hauschka but talked about products you could make yourself such as an herbal toner, different masks and using almond butter as a cleanser!
Will update at the end. Thus far impressed with it's "summary" approach. For instance, doesn't go into details of mediation, just says to include it in your routine.
