I was never supposed to fall in love, but now I’m obsessed. For the first time in my life, I know how it feels to kiss a woman. To be with a woman. I can’t keep my hands off Livia. Our new relationship is perfect, but her family – well, most of them hate me, especially her father. He sees my emptiness and knows my darkest secrets. I’m not good enough for his daughter, and according to him, I’m too old for her. But Livia loves me for who I am, flaws and all, and I’m never letting her go. Anyone who tries to threaten us – well, they just may wake up the darkness I try so hard to conceal.

I love this couple. First, I will admit, that ending threw me all the way off. I need the next one to hurry along. Wow, relationships are tricky, a couple doesn't need to have family drama too. I'll be back for part three.
You've got to be super open-minded to read this series because there are a lot of triggers and the characters make some reckless decisions‼️
I was super frustrated at so many points in this story with both Khenji and Olivia. They were irritating and their infutation with each other was sickening 😂 I'm glad that her family members called it out instead of encouraging the delusion lol
I liked that Tina did a great job at exploring mental health through Khenji's character and revealing how men cope with it👌🏾 it got deep and I like that she tied up all loose ends👍🏾.
And that's why you have to stick in there and read it to the end lol. (because you might be tempted to DNF) It slowly starts to make sense and you'll be sitting there like "ohhh, I get it now" lol.
Especially with Olivia's character because she came across as naive and easily manipulated😡. And, I still believe that she's foolish (because how can you marry a man within 3 months of barely knowing him? like seriously?!)
However Tina uses Olivia's character to show us exactly what unconditional love looks like. 😒 (if you can call it that)
Do I think it's believable...? Hell no lol. In my opinion, it's unrealistic. I don't think anyone can be that patient and submissive. A real couple would have marriage counselling ASAP. But somehow they miraculously navigate their issues like pros and communicate perfectly and trust each other. 😒🙄🥱 That's when I remind myself that it's fiction and romance 🤢 lol
I'm also convinced Olivia is in la-la land but in the next book there's a revelation that will flip her world upside down 😉 (can't wait 😈lol). So it will be interesting to see how she takes the news. She seems to take things in stride probably due to her occupation as a therapist? Because it was amazing how she ignored every single red flag about Khenji...🤦🏾♀️
It's a dark obsessive love story with a dose of sweet romance and despite my reservations I thoroughly enjoyed it. My only gripe is the way the spicy scenes were written🙄. The spicy rating is very low 🌶️ there's alot of censoring. I'm not a fan of super spicy but this was extremely PG for me lol like I'm side eyeing the author low-key...lol But she's a great writer so I had to TRY and overlook it. A well deserved 5 star rating for taking on a challenging character like Khenji.
Ok, surprised but not shocked (yet, I’m relieved he wasn’t going to murder her & freeze the remains for a future gumbo😮💨🤷🏾♀️) by Khenji’s final admitting his darkest secrets to Livia. “Tell Me You Love Me (Tell Me Series - Book 2 of 3)” was a great read, with some suspicious characters/accomplice🤷🏾♀️🤨. Thereafter, Khenji’s eccentric behaviors, introverted nature and allusive tendencies are plausible considering his diagnosis’ and all he witnessed and endured as a child. However, there’s Dr. Colby Augustus (Maricella too) who is full of bovine fecal matter 🙄🥴‼️He’s a joke..the epitome of an elitist, narcissist, paranoid, ulterior motives and a liar…because that lame 🤬rehearsed sob story regarding Livia’s birth parents was BS. Just call me a cynic, but I’m not buying that version with someone else’s money 🥴‼️NOPE 🙂↔️ I don’t believe him! The real question though, why now?…what’s his motivation/objective first telling Khenji (not Livia) this swan song confession⁉️ He’s obviously threatened by Khenji & his influence on Livia. But why? Was Colby somehow the person responsible for his brother’s/fiancé deaths? Clearly there’s more to the saga…”just tell me/us🤷🏾♀️🤭…Why?🤔🫣) inquiring minds want to need/know 📝⁉️
Loved loved loved this book the story is so easy flowing just when you think it's all going well you get hit with something else hated it ended on a cliff hanger. Now I have to wait for the next book. If I had realized that I would have waited until the last one was out and read altogether 😕. Loved the chemistry between the two characters. My only beef is I would have liked slightly more spicy scenes. Well done nice to see black writers getting recognition. I certainly will be reading more of Tina's books.
The relationship between Livia and Khenji was off the charts. Soulmates was the word for them. The quirky way they connected to all the things that were revealed made for an enticing journey for them and their families. Just when you thought there were no more secrets. Up pops the devil. I’m on the end of my seat for what has to be a continuation of unresolved truths.
I fell for the will continue again. I enjoyed reading these books. I did not like that I have to wait until November to read the last one I hope. I will never know how this book ends. I will move on to another author with completed series. Then I find out the last part cost 6.99 Not going to buy it . I Pay Amazon to much to have to pay for the ending of a sseries. I hope authors read these reviews and take note of what is being said.
Interesting read. The psychological back story of the characters is profound. The references to autism and mental stability is deeply seeded. It took a minute to get into the characters only to realize I couldn't stop reading about them. Then there is a major cliff hanger! So where do I go from there?
Good read, I liked the characters. Livia is a sweet person, that loves her husband unconditionally. Khenji thoroughly loves his wife Livia in an obsessive and dominant way. They deal with secrets and the dysfunction of her family. But their love remains strong. I look forward to the next book.
whirlwind! So much transpired in this book I am still on edge. This was such an emotional read, Khenji’s past is so challenging to swallow due to the aftermath of it all and how it affects him currently. I absolutely adore Livia and her willingness to understand, it all. The ending and what was revealed about Livia and her origin, MANNNN!
Wow,Wow.Great book, but we are not at the end yet. Khenji and Livia are going to have to deal with this secret. The older kids are going to be mad at their parents. Guess what love conquers all.
Congratulations 🍾🎊 on your 100th book. Khen was super obsessed with Liv but also,a bit weird lol. She was the perfect person to share his secrets with ironically with her background and professional.
It's not the ending... There will hopefully be another book soon and the ending of this story. If not for the way, book number two ends. The story would have been a five-star rating. Thought this was supposed to be only two books?
When I feel you in all love the place. Now I see that the mom's slip up wasn't a slip up. I just wanna give Khenji a hug. I want him to whoop her dad but have a relationship with him too. Goodness
No thank you kind of love. I could deal with his uniqueness but the control and suffocation… Every where she went he showed up. The only person I need around me twenty-four seven is God and my angels. Hey she liked it,so…
Kenji and Livia what a beautiful obsessive love story. There is much to unpack and Ms Martin does an excellent job of bringing the story together. Can’t wait for the finale.
And the ball drops again. Secrets live within the entire storyline. Not sure how I feel about Khenji. He doesn’t want to be “his father” but….. Hero of the book is Hayes. Love how he handles everyone. Livia acts as young as she is. “WOW”
There were some eye opening revelations in this story which still have me shaking my head and saying oh check no. Powerful, thought provoking, and sad.
As much as I enjoyed this the fmc’s family was such a turn off except the brother and they’re featured a lot in this book thankfully our couples interactions made up for it
Very interesting storyline for a love story. I enjoyed the completely out of the box way the story is set up. I was so worried about how things trending bad with how obsessed Khenji seemed to be Livia, but if she loved it, so did I. Waiting for the ending for this trilogy.
