This is an anthology of writings by the German Christian mystic Jacob Boehme, edited by the occult writer, Franz Hartmann. Hartmann was a noted Theosophist, who also wrote With the Adepts and In the Pronaos of the Temple of Wisdom. This book is account of his life & labors, & of the Influence of his writings upon the outside world; the Doctrines of Jacob Boehme: Unity; Seven Qualities; Creation; Angels; Restoratio.
It's a good and precious collection of sentences from all works of Bohme. However I must stress the errors of the comments of Hartmann, it's best to stay away from the doctrines of the teosophical school. I personally avoid the commentary and only focus on the actual quotes from Bohme.
I read the kindle version of this book some time ago and have reviewed it several times. This is clearly the best spiritual book that I have read. The book discusses the trinity, creation, man and other areas in very clear terms. I found this book very inspirational and the desire and need to re-read this book due to the difficult subject matter. In closing, although Jacob Boehme was a Christian Mystic, this is a book for people of all religions.
