More Tea Less Vicar!

Rate this book
When Mac and Kate Arnold and their four young children move from their cluttered cottage to 'The Old Vicarage' in Lower Hadbury, they have no idea that their new home comes with several strings attached! With packing cases still in the hall, they learn that their new responsibilities include hosting the annual Fete, inviting fifty village carol singers in for mince pies and mulled wine, helping to keep the playground tidy and taking a turn on the church flower rota. When the church warden suggests that Kate might like to hold an Easter Workshop in the garden, she soon ends up taking responsibility for the new Family Service too. And that's only the start! Hindered by a mad aunt and a fanatical sister in law, the bewildered villagers can only look on in disbelief as the chaos unfolds.

A light, mildly humorous, read that highlights the various pressures brought to bear upon the new residents of a village vicarage by the local community, despite the fact that no one in the incumbent family is actually a vicar.
