-Excerpt-
The stranger was pulling her close, then, and Katie found herself uttering a small gasp as her body pressed close to his own. His presence was overwhelming, almost, and once more she felt almost lightheaded, almost tipsy. His arms went snugly around the curves of her sides, daringly low on her hips, and the sensation of heat once more flickered over her skin. Katie uttered a low noise, her long nails digging into the front of his suit jacket. Just the light pressure against her back was enough to set her ablaze.

"I never thought I would meet someone like you here." His voice was rough, husky, and he was speaking directly into one of the cups of her ears, tickling the fine hairs. A growl seemed to rumble through his chest. Her stranger seemed less than human himself, exerting a powerful, animal magnetism over her, and she couldn't seem to contain herself. She rocked her weight forward on her tall shoes, her mouth finding his own, tasting his lips and finding them to her liking. She breathed in through her nose, drinking in that essence, her eyes closing. There was nobody else, nothing but him and her and her desires. They might as well have been the center of the universe.

"Not here." Her stranger tore away, though, after just a moment, lips lingering softly on hers as he breathed. His nose brushed her cheek as he turned his head slightly. Katie 's eyes opened into the smallest of slits and she barely remembered she was in an event hall, with people shuffling in and out, people who could very well see them.
