Something about Sasha Brown catches Ridley Brone’s eye the moment she walks into his karaoke bar. Not just her angelic voice when she takes the mic. Or the way the stage lights make her white-blonde hair shimmer. She seems to embody the very essence of innocence.
So when she ends up dead on a snowbank in the middle of a harsh Michigan winter, he becomes obsessed with learning the truth behind her demise. But the truths he discovers will not only bring into question his fanciful ideal of Sasha, but expose a dark underside to his hometown he thought he knew so well.
Saving Sasha Brown marks the third book in the series featuring the karaoke bar owner and private eye, Ridley Brone.
Whether it’s a covert-ops team of vampire assassins or a greedy dragon who lives under Detroit’s MGM Grand Casino, most of Rob Cornell’s stories feature some element of the dark and fantastic. He has written over a dozen published novels, including two dark fantasy sagas—The Lockman Chronicles and the Unturned series. A native of the Detroit area, he spent a handful of years living in both Los Angeles and Chicago before returning to the Midwest, and currently lives with his family in Southeast Michigan.
I liked the story line and the twists involved. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the number of typos and times when the wrong words were used. At least twice the wrong names for characters were used. Needs to be proofread by someone more carefully before the book is considered finished. Overall, I enjoyed all 3 books with Ridley Brone.
