I quite enjoyed this book. I honestly couldn’t put it down and once I got past the 50% mark the book seemed to go by faster and I didn’t want it to end. Although this book does have the surprise pregnancy trope I was surprised that it was not heavily centered around the topic like most books with this trope, yes you’ll see the FMC think about the baby’s well being when making decisions but it’s not something that completely takes over the book and I appreciated that. I loved her attitude at times and other times she just irked me (yes I’m talking about the one scene where she blamed everything on Lorenzo instead of the actual person whose fault the whole thing was, her father). It was a fun little read, the writing was great, but I do wish the epilogue would’ve been years into their life together and not about their wedding, that's just me though.

Ember and her 2 friends go to the opening of a new casino and does something she never does and has a drunken 1 night stand. The following morning she leaves quickly before the mysterious 'hot' old man wakes up. Lorenzo wakes up alone with fractured memories of the night before but he knows that he is taken with this woman. He has his friend Tony try to find her.
Once home, Ember finds her father at her door and she finds out he has done something that will change her life completely to clear his gambling debt.
Ember now has to work for Lucian Stavros a mob boss. Her computer skills come to light and she is set with a task, take down his rival Lorenzo Morelli.
Tony can't find Ember and Lorenzo needs to find her as she is haunting him in not only in his dreams . He can't believe she falls into his lap when she applies for a job at his casino.
Ember is trying to make the best of the situation she is in. The guilt of what she is doing weighs heavily on her but when another big surprise comes to light, she knows she has to do anything and everything to keep herself safe. Lorenzo realises that Ember does not recognise him straight away and arranges a date with her. Once Ember realises who Lorenzo is, she knows she is falling for him and she tries to stay away and guard the secret she is holding. But everything eventually comes to light and further insight into Ember's past throws light on all that is happening now. Lorenzo is going to keep Ember safe at all costs and take down Lucian once and for all.
A fast paced book, dealing with power and greed. Ember is trying her best to keep herself alive long enough to hopefully flee the clutches of Lucian. Lorenzo realises quickly that he has fallen for Ember and his love for her makes him determined to take down his rival. A good story with a HEA.

Okay then I will say you might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Ember is sweet when she wants to be headed out with two friends to the grand opening of a new casino a little too much alcohol leads her to a one-night stand with a sexy older guy but leaves before he wakes, and she couldn’t forget her night assuming she wouldn’t have to see him again content with her fantasies. Lorenzo sexy as all get out Don remembers the grand opening meeting a woman he couldn’t forget even if he wanted to and he is a man who gets what/who he wants, when he wants them, and he does it all rather they like it or not, so he does what any self-respecting man who wants his girl to have his people find her. When she gets home her father is waiting for her but of course he has done something that will nearly make her hate him threw her under the bus to clear his gambling debt she is required to work for Lucian a mob boss especially with her computer skills and her job has become to take down their rival Lorenzo her Lorenzo. Once they realize who each other are she has to try hard to keep secrets although she wants to tell him but like all secrets they must come into the light but her guy will do everything in his power to keep her safe but will her father get what he deserves, will he take out his rival with her help, will her current boss come after her when he finds out she knows Lorenzo, and where are these two headed maybe happiness with a side of hacking?

Ember and her friends went to the open of a new casino there she met a mysterious handsome man that she passed the night with, he did’nt give his name.
The day after her father went to her he was miserable she asked him what happened but she knew her father addiction of gambling.
He threw her in the hands of the wolves and she has to work to ruin the work of a particular name.
But she didn’t know that the man is the same man that she had one night stand.
This is a good story that I really enjoyed reading and also the writing is good.

This was a wonderful mafia story. We follow Ember who meets a man on a night out in a casino, she doesn't know him but finds him very mysterious. They have a hot and passionate night. She sneaks out early in the morning and finds out that she has been unknowingly given to a mafia boss by her father to clear his gambling debts. Ember and Lorenzo's story is great, with tension, drama, sadness, betrayal and a lot of steam.

Lucien, rival mobster, has brought Ember in to pay her father's gambling debt and she offers technology help with Ransomware into Lorenzo's computer system. Lorenzo finally finds that he needs to learn more about Ember's background. What shocking info does he get about Ember's past? Lucien wants to take over Lorenzo's Mafia assets. Will Lucien succeed?.

Filled with betrayal, death, intrigue, love, mystery, suspense, and violence. I was totally engaged from the first paragraph and couldn't put it down. The story was well written and the characters are sensational. Lorenzo and Ember have an undeniable chemistry and physical attraction to each other. To get their HEA there are twist and turns to overcome. I highly recommend reading this book and as usual I look forward to reading more from Piper Raven.

Idk about you but I devoured this book like a crackhead started around 9:30PM finished at 11:52PM. I love how the female character had the man obsessed like OMG. Lorenzo is that guy for sure.

This was a compelling Mafia romance. So many twist and turns right up until the end. Ember finds out that her father is so deep into a gambling debt and she has been given as payment to Lucian Stravos. Kidnapping and torturing her is only the beginning of a great story.

This is a must-read book that is going to reignite a passion of page turning adventure and suspense that will deliver a fascinating story of romance and surprises. Every book that I have had the privilege of reading by Piper has been the absolute best and she has a way with words that makes the book a best seller including this book about Lorenzo and Ember's relationship.

I love myself a good enemies to lovers and to tack on a hot mafia trope with a surprise pregnancy, I swoon. It was a very well written book, easy to get lost in and I couldn't put it down. I love the strength of the characters. Though they may be stubborn at times, it was still a pretty good flow. There were nice twists and a good suspense. Overall, the book was a very enjoyable read!

OMG 😱 this was a sensational of a page turner and the suspense was sexual tension. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Mind blowing of drama and chaos in a sexual relationship of betrayal and lies. Would they get away and live a good life or will something happen that will ruin everything. Must Read!!!!!

OMG this was another great book. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down. The chemistry between them was sexual and physical attraction. Her life was on the line if she was not falling for the mafia don. Will she fall in love with him or he protected her in time.
