Nahtlos wird die Geschichte von Graf Vladislaus Draculesti (der als junge Frau wiedergeboren wurde) und der Golem-Mädchen Clara weitererzählt. Und nämlich im gleichen Konflikt, mit dem der erste Band endete. In diesem ersten Kapitel steht dann auch der Kampf im Vordergrund und die Geschichte wird kaum vorangetrieben. Dafür erhält ein wenig mehr Witz Einzug in die Geschichte.

Es dauert ein wenig, bis die Fronten geklärt sind. Auf der einen Seite Dracula und auf der anderen die finstere Organisation Cerberus, die eine Armee aus Mensch-Monster-Hybriden schaffen will. Und dem gegenüberstellen möchte Dracula gleichfalls eine Armee aus Monstern.

Die Zeichnungen sind manga-typisch und bieten kaum Überraschungen. Allerdings sind die Texte manchmal etwas klein ausgefallen. Da braucht die Leserschaft gute Augen oder eine Lupe. Dann erfährt der Leser ein paar Hintergründe, aus der Vergangenheit der Gegenseite. Bis es dann zum Endkampf kommt, der natürlich weitererzählt werden möchte. Nämlich in Band Nummer 3 der auf 5 Teile ausgelegten Reihe.

3.5⭐️ i want to give this book credit for improving since the first book. although there is still some photo bashing and reused art (and thus room for improvement), i was much happier with the art presented in this edition. at times the art was even dynamic and exciting. the story was much more interesting and engaging, although i’m still wanting more from the stories and characters. i’m also excited about the possible romance?? willing to try the third volume when it’s released.

Some interesting premise bits but I’m not enthused about more. Can’t quite put my finger on it.

Kinda think universal monster universe except smear of history and most of them look like cute kids.
