Asael is an adventurer who has dedicated his life to travelling around the world, discovering towns, cities, countries, continents, heedless of direction or time. He is a rover without a set destination, who after several decades of journeying around the American continent decides to return to Europe to see his brothers, or one of them at least, the only one of the Chosen whose whereabouts he knows. However, the journey will bring to light more than he ever expected; something Asael believed to be impossible has come to one of his brothers is dead, and finding out why takes him on a quest that will forever change his perception of who he is and what it means to be immortal.
This book has everything; conspiracies, romance, plenty of cultural and historical references (the egyptoligist in me was well satisfied), and an ending that even the most suspicious of you would never predict!
Wish I could read it again for the first time, and patiently waiting for a sequel!!
